Ricardo Hernandez Severino, La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico

Ricardo writes: “I salvaged this Monogram 1/48 scale MiG-29 ‘Fulcrum’ for a person who built it without paint or decals. I airbrushed with gray and hand-painted black and gray camouflage with Tamiya and Humbrol acrylics. Landing lights are by Swarovsky — crystals from my wife´s broken earrings. The ground equipment is from an Esci aircraft support set, and the apron and hangar behind is the naval air station where I work.” Ricardo credits his passion for aviation to modeling, which he says began by taking unbuilt kits from his father without permission.
