My name is Gary D. Mason. I live in Arden, North Carolina (just south of Asheville) in the mountains. Love it up here! I served in the Marines from February 1984 until July 1995, with a few months spent in the 1st Gulf War on the USS Saipan. I'm on my third (and last!) marriage to an outstanding wife (wish that I had met her back in 1983 when I got married the first time!) named Angela. We were married 06 March 2021.
I build mostly 1/48th & 1/32nd scale USMC aircraft (those scales mainly because my eyesite is not as good as it once was). But, I also have some motorcycles, cars (MoPAR!!), and ships in the stash as well. My stash is at approximately 175 kits right now (been awhile since I last counted them).
I work for a company called Elekta as a system specialist on radiation therapy cancer treatment equipment, which I've been doing for the last 28 years. I might be retiring pretty soon due to some pretty serious health issues, but I'm awaiting God's word on that.
