Where to start. My Mom was a 1lt nurse in the Army, Dad was a PFC tank driver. They met in a field hospital in North Africa. My Dad was one of the first two air traffic controllers hired in Louisville KY in 1947, I inherited my father's love of all things aviation.
Finally got my Private Pilot License after many years of wishing and lost it in the early 90s due to diabetes. . . then double bypass. . . oh, and with being blind in one-eye.
Active in the Civil Air Patrol for a number of years. That was a lot of fun, and it is where I got most of my flight time.
Haven't built any models in a number of years, but I am getting back, oh so slowly. Building a dedicated hobby room in my basement, which turned into finishing the entire basement. Hence, still working on it.
