I am a recently retired middle/high school art teacher (38 years) and have many interests, which I'm happy to say I can now spend more time on. I do love art and work on highly detailed watercolor paintings involving old architectural buildings, love wood carving, vegetable gardening, raising honey bees and chickens ( my wife & I just started this with 6 lovely little chicks!). 

I built many models when I was a kid in the 60's and have rediscovered my love of modeling WW2 aircraft. I am amazed at the quality and variety of models out their today- especially all the add on PE details and resin parts. I've already created a "stash" and am currently working on a cheapo BF 109E just to get my feet wet. Not much detail in the kit, but I can at least begin to "hone" my skills. I have an airbrush and with my knowledge of colors should have a lot of fun "playing" with weathering detailing on my models. I hope to be able to "start up some converstations" with you all out there!
