As of 2017 he is a retired former military doctor and family physician. Retirement has brought immense benefits in the time to work at the model bench. There is also much more time available to research the history and photos of subjects. Military planes are his chief interest, although there are plenty of AFV's, some cars, and a few ships awiting their turn at the workbench.
He is happily married for 37 years now, and there are three grown children, two of whom are physicians; one is in the USAF as a flight surgeon, and one is former US Army. He has two golden retrievers, and enjoys playing the piano. He also has two grandsons in Germany.
