hi everyone, thanks for all the great comments! 

plymonkey - different mediums require different techniques.  Acrylics dry fairly fast so instead of blending one has to rely on washes and drybrush.

m1garand - not sure how you approach skin colour, but to start I suggest never use black to darken the tones.  This just makes it look muddy.

MontanaCowboy - Must be the camera angle.  If you look at his other hand you will notice he is wearing 3-finger type gloves, so I assure you he has the correct finger on the trigger.

This is simply incredible!  The only thing I have to say is that the snow flakes are not reallistics.  Is it me or there is no decent product to replicate snow.  I never saw a good reproduction of snow.

And I will have to build a winter diorama for my Flak 36,  I wonder how I will do this.

Anyway, you did an amazing job on that figure, I whish I could do such work.
