Will be entering the following:

These will be my next four builds I only hope that will have enough time to finish all of them within the time limit.  Had just ordered the MK VI B and it is not due to get here until the end of Sep.  If had more time would also like to try to build a Geschutzwagen B2 useing the Tamiya kit for the hull.  That may be beyond my skills but would like to try.  Will not enter that for now, still have MUCH research to do.

Question about the Geschutzwagen B2: It appears that the Germans didn't convert the Char B's until after the Fall of France, so I don't think they'd be eligible for the GB. Sorry, it would have been cool to see one built up.

Yes, not sure if will be able to finish all in time the the GB but that will be the line up anyway.  Been wanting to get these built. 

The Geschutzwagen B2 was after the fall of France just thought could sneak it in there, now I have a plan for a new GB.

This is exciting... please count me in as I promised earlier.  

Since Rob is going to build a Heller Somua 35 kit, I will build Tamiya Char B1 bis and include figures from the Dragon figures set 'Blitzkrieg in France'.

Would love to have you. You can always jump when you have the time. As long as the GB is in progress, you can start anytime.

Thanks tiger, i hate to pass up a great GB, but the next year or so is going to be very hectic. But if theres the slightest gap, i am in.

Thanks Rob-yeah, I caught the date in the title AFTER my post....

Dunno if I'm going to do armor or aircraft-my choices are an 1/48 Airfix 109E3 w/aftermarket decals, a 1/35 Tristar Pz 38(t) at my LHS or the latest Cyber Hobby/Dragon Orange Box 1/35 StuG III B with some Archer transfers.  It's a combination of trying to be cost effective, accurate (some question if the StuG III B was involved or only the "A", if I read some of the earlier post correctly) and skill level required-I'm thinking the Tristar kit may be pushing my skills.  I had given consideration to a Tamiya D.520, but I don't want to have to try to do paint matching for a French plane....and I don't want to have to blend Tamiya paints.

Hope to make a decision by the end of this week and get something ordered or purchased. 

I'm looking forward to this GB.

bob, as i understand it, the StuG III B didn't begin production until June 1940. So i guess it would be possable that some could have caught the end of the conflict if they were sent straight from the factory to the front line.

Hmmm, maybe someone can pinpoint the StuG B's timeframe even closer. I think there must have been if they produced them in June, for it was a 6 week war, therefore near the end of June with the armistice signed on June 22.

The Battle of France only lasted 6 weeks?  My little A13 must have had a very short battle life!!  Guess that means I don't have to weather it.........much!!

Amazing isn't it? 6 weeks for something that they couldn't do in 4 plus years in the first war. However, 2 million soldiers, 1000's of A/C, over 2,000 tanks LOL= Blitzkrieg 

From most of what I've read and blah blah, the Phony War Sept 1939-May 1940, kind of lulled the French into a complacent attitude. They, perhaps more then any other combatant, were still shell-shocked from the horrors of the Great War. They lost an entire generation of men. They wanted peace. The Wehrmacht was just getting started and their tactics were superior.

TIgerman: Please put me down with a 1/35th Tamiya Char bis. I may end up doing a small dio with it and a German 37mm 'doorknocker' AT gun. I'll have to see how things work out.

I'll have to watch DP Andy's kit and try to go with on of the alternate schemes to the one he does.

Hey Eric and guys, this GB sounds like it will be a lot of fun and I actually have something in the stash that fits the theatre and time period (for once).  Put me down for a DML Pz.Kpfw.III Ausf.E.

Hi!  I'm another Bob!

For my 2c worth; do the Tristar Pz 38 if you have it or can get it cheap (the ausf B, E/F, and G kits are all around eBay and at shows for very reasonable bucks) - these are all super nice kits with great detail and go together very very well - just wrapping up an E/F as we speak and I loved the build!  And, as long as you take care and dry-fit things first, you will find about everything really goes together very cleanly and without lots of trimming or fiddle-faddle.   IF you do the B or G, you have the option of doing a Befehls-panzer with the frame antenna.

Warning!: The B kit comes in 2 versions - with or without interior.  The interior is just fantastic stuff, but you will be taking on an involved job with lots of brass if you go there!  It's not for the PE-phobic!

I'm pretty sure No VW Schwimmwagens! Designed by Porsche in 1940, but I don't think any actually left the factory until later 1941, so they probably missed the Blitz in France...

Sounds like a cool GB!  I'm fingering my Dragon 15cm s.IG auf Pz.Kpfw. 1B and wondering if I can actually have any chance of getting it done for this...! But there are some other options in my stash...  Pz 38, Pz 1A, PzJgr 1B early, Kleine PzBefWgn 1B, SdKfz 223?

Can I "share" a build between this GB and a "campaign" on another site?  I'm hoping to be able to participate in both builds and could save some money and actually get something complete if I can use 1 kit in 2 places...

Tiger,,,,,I'm in.....although not sure yet if aircraft or armor.....I just picked up Tamiyas Hanomag and 75mm anti tank gun. 1/35.....then again this might also be a good excuse to pick up that Stuka I've always wanted...I'll let you know..

I'm really interested in this GB, but I got it in my head that it was going to start later and be longer... I'm worried that it will conflict too much with the Panzer III GB that I've committed to.

Having said that, I really, REALLY want to do this GB with an SdKfz 222. I figure it'll be a quick build, right? So put me down for that puppy (the new-ish Tamiya kit).

By the way, I should know this, but at this point, would German armor still have that cool grey/brown color scheme? I'll have to check my refs....
