Been doing a bit of work on this the last couple of days and getting close to the end now. Just the weathering on the lower half to do. I do have a question however, does anyone know the best way to weather the chain I want to use on the front?
Thanks in advance for any help
Phil

You may not like my reply but here goes: the best place for that chain is back into your workbench drawer. Chains like you've portrayed were only used by a handful of WW2 combatants: pre-1940 France and early Soviet vehicles. As towing implements, cables were by far, more useful and solely used by most modern armies. A damaged or frayed cable can easily be spotted and replaced. The same can't be said of chains. Lives would depend on this.
I would say if you look at a 100 Wespen in photos, you won't see a single chain.

Mitch,,, nice looking build (from what I can see)..... would enjoy seeing more of it when you have completed.
I agree with Roy,,, I use chain sparingly,, some instances as space fill for dioramas...
Enjoy the ride!
Looks like you're off to a good start there. Once you get that lower half weathered, you'll be good to go. Did you make your own canvas top?
One thing that I noticed was the spare wheel with return roller attached. Did you find that in a reference?
Eric
Thanks to all - so no chain then.
Yes the tarp cover is hand made just used Milliput and rolled it out between two piece's of cling film (not sure what the Americna's will call it)
The return roller is my idea didn't see it anywhere just made some sense as people often add a spare wheel or so but never return roller which does seem a little odd to me as they must wear out. I also used it to hide the pin. I'm not wedded to the idea either
Finished pics for anyone who's interested. I dont normally weather this much so it was a learning thing and I'm happy enough with it as a first attempt.
