Greetings from wet and snowy Nova Scotia

Hi folks - great idea this forum.
I'm 54, have been modeling steadily since I was 5 (no kidding - damn near half a century). I can still remember my first model - a 1/32 Revel '53 Ford pickup in blue (and glue). I model just about everything except figures and fantasy. I have a wooden ship on the go, an HO layout, a Tamiya Suzuki Hayabusa, a 58 Edsel. I do like WW2 and the early US Navy jets - but basically anything is a target. Modeling is therapeutic and fun - it has been my diversion through school, university (grad and post grad), marriage and divorce and marriage, and surviving kids in university.
Although a Nova Scotian, I have close ties in the US - my daughter and her husband and daughter live in Wordester, Mass. I have traveled often to the southern US on business - primarily Greenville, SC, plus several locations in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
Oh - New York is a blst - love the place.
Looking forward to sharing lots of ideas on this forum when I'm around.

Hiya Harry....where abouts in N.S. do you hang your hat? Mom is from Amherst and there's still plenty of family down there...dad used to call them the "maritime mafia"...she moved to Halifax when she was young and then on to Moncton, Fredricton, and St. John before her dad was transferred to Ottawa just before the war...

Retired and living the dream!
