New to modeling
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, December 27, 2003 3:06 AM
Hello everyone, I feel I know most of the community already! My other half, you notice I did NOT say better half, has been posting here for awhile now under the name Djmodels. I have completed my very first kit, which my husband posted awhile back. First thanks to all the people who gave so much positive feedback. I must say more wives should get involved, I LOVE IT. I know have four models going and can not wait to see the end results. I look forward to visiting the site more. Thanks again all.

MrsDJ

Welcome to the forum - I'm sure that your knowledge of the forum has already let you determine that you don't have to be crazy to be here, but it sure helps. So I will pass a nugget of knowledge that I learned years ago but still might apply here ----Beware of treadheads asking for things!

Shermie

I hope the nice lady posts a picture of the Queen lol

Mrs. DJ.

I am enjoying your posts already! However, I've noticed that Domi's posts are a little.... "tamer" than usual?? (Just kidding).

My wife is quite supportive of my hobby (I don't even hide any kits from her!!), but it's gonna be a long time before she'll build her first kit. Too bad, she does a hell of a job putting on nail polish and dabbling in the 'scrap-book' stuff.... she'd be good at this.

Welcome aboard! You may not know it, but your married to an FSM "high-profile" member!! (doesn't that make you feel special!!)

Cheers!!

Murray, I must say it does make me feel special and lucky! I have a big head start on most new modelers, not only am I married to one of the best modelers in the universe, but I have access to forum that lets me find out even more tricks of the trade. It also helps to be married to someone who has already invested in all the expensive tools of the trade, ie, airbrush etc.....Big Smile [:D]

Betty

PS When I brag on him like this he pays me in models!
