Dan, a lot of guys use EZ-line or fly fishing line for the rigging, I prefer stretched sprue myself. I can vary the size of it from thick to the width of a hair.
Yes you attach whichever product you use with CA.
As far as references for the rigging, I will look up pictures of the subject. I have found the rigging changes as the ship goes through upgrades, however for the Titanic you should be able to find a vast amount of reference pictures. I don’t worry about getting everything perfect, unless it’s going to a museum no one will know the difference.
