We'll walk through the vendors and see what comes up.

A friend is bringing his laptop to the show, so it will be possible to post photos while there.  That way we can keep the fellas (and gals) on the forum up to date on the latest shenanigans.

Too bad the overseas manufacturers will not be attending this year.  I always enjoy the Zoukei Mura and Special Hobby booths.  I wonder if Revell will be showing any hardware from their upcoming 1/48 SR-71.  Yes ladies and gentlemen, if you have not heard, Revell Germany will be releasing a new tool kit this fall.

XL for me Big Smile

Seriously though. If possable grab one for me if you want and I'll reimburse you. If not no problem, I'll just grab one when I go through the vendor area. Yes

I test fit my 20 year old wood 1/64 scale Artesina Latina Mayflower in it's glass case in the car last night and it fits! So that's coming as well.

That's great G!!

Can someone ask and let me know the latest I can register tomorrow? We probably won't be in until 6pm. Confused

10 hour drive from Boise.

I may have to either put the builds on the tables or my room and register on Friday morning. Huh?

No worries Steve, Friday is fine for registering your model.  Just do it well before 5:00 pm.  I'll probably see you there with my model entry - and I guarantee it will stink of fresh flat coat!

BTW, no joy on the honu flip-flops.  It was way more elusive than I thought.

See the FSM gang soon!

I got in yesterday afternoon and got registered and entered without a hitch.

As for the t shirt at Andy's, you need to wear it or buy it on Friday to get your free kit.

You're going to have to buy the wife a new wardrobe  after you leave all her luggage there.  Got to have priorities.Zip it!

Can always send your luggage home by Greyhound.

I saw a video on you tube this morning of someone walking through the vendors' area at the 2021 Nationals.  As you would expect, the room was packed with kits, supplies, and books.  I was disappointed to see lots of people, surprisingly vendors, without their masks on.  I hope that everyone has a great time and I pray that this doesn't turn into one of those "Super Spreader" events.  Stay safe everyone!

I'm pretty sure my wife and I will be in Omaha next year. Oh how I wish I could be there with all of you shaking hands and talking plastic!

This has been a blast so far. Lots of walking through. I walked 6 miles yesterday just getting stuff from my car to the model room or our hotel room.

It's been great meeting everyone. I'm supper tired after standing and walking and carrying stuff for about 8 hours.

The judging is happening now till probably past midnight. Awards ceremony tomorrow. I got a few things some big but mostly small items like AM and books.

Tomorrow will be another day but won't be in a hurry to get down there.

I'll take pictures tomorrow and we'll leave on Sunday. My wife and I are pretty committed for next year.

Tomorrow I'll find out if the ups setup they had is worthwhile. You don't get a quote when drop off your stuff. Cost is a mystery! They know youre a captive audience.

It has been an absolute thrill meeting the likes of Model Crazy, Armornut, Real G and Mongoose. You are all a tremendous lot. Look forward to tying in with you all tomorrow.

All I can say about  it all is sensory overload. It really has been an incredible experience. It hasn't even been diminished by the fact that Chris won my Kitty Hawk kit.Big Smile

So far I have bought a lot of kits & goodies, won a raffle, and just hit a $1,000.00 jackpot on the slots. Vendor room here I come.

Good luck to my compacted entries tomorrow. Bring home the bling!!

So cool hanging with everyone, can't forget the wonderful Mrs, Modelcrazy, she really is an amazing lady. Joe, Chris, Steve, and Lord Dark Helmet, could not ask for a better experience.

The UPS station will be open from 11am to 1pm 21Aug21. It cost me just under 100.00 to ship my stuff to Washington. They do not take cash so have your credit/ debit card functioning. Also my dimentions were 24x18x10 inches, not sure if weight was a factor.

Thank you again for making my birthday experience so special, would not have been the same without yaGeeked

Great time guys,. You made a fun experience a joy. Chris didn't need to buy anything since he won it all at the raffle!

Joe beat me to the Mogami but when I saw he had it in hand I had to see him take it home.

Armornut, it was so great to meet you! I'm glad you were able to find the kit of your dreams. Sorry it costs so much to send it but there was no way you would get that thing on the plane.

G, man your a Hoot! Finishing up your build all Thursday night and Friday, then winning 2nd Yes Man I'm so happy for you Big Smile

My Akagi won third which considering the competition....I'm happy Big Smile My 20 year old Mayflower also got 3rd.

There were over 6000 entries this year but since there were ywo years to get ready for this one and considering Covid....I'm surprised there weren't more. I bought more than I thought I would but am happy with all of them. I'll post them to the acquisitions thread after we get home.

I hope to see you guys next year and hopefully others from the forum.

Modelcrazy (Steve), Armornut (Perry), Joe, and Mongoose (Chris), getting to meet you FSM "Good Guys" really made the event for me!  I had a great time thanks to all of you.  I hope to see you all again at a future Nationals (or anything else).  And to the guys who could not make it this year, put it on your calendar and help grow the "FSM Mob"!

And congratulations Steve on placing with your Akagi!
