US Navy Large Harbor Tug (YTB) Opelika YTB-798 in Yokosuka, Japan

When I was in the Navy, I didn't want to drive the aircraft carriers, I wanted to drive one of these. Of course, I got stuck driving the carriers.

(Sub, I love that Chevy 789! Hadn't seen that one before.)

Me neither, up until it came up in the web search for 789. It was built in limited quantities and sold for $135,000 each. It is based on a Corvette chassis and engine.

F-4J Phantom #153779, AG-205....VF-84 flew this a/c in 1969-1970.  It actually was an early J model, and at that time, they were upgrading from the -B.  This plane flew with ballast in the nose because the new radar was not yet available.  The pic shows 5 aircraft options from a decal sheet, this plane is the second one from the top.

A bit obvious, but a nice paint job;

& I believe that the crew of this one felt more than a little pain after pulling this trick at Paine Field;
