I love the smell of Tamiya Extra-thin melting styrene, Future floor polish, and propaganda posters fresh off a Gutenburg press. ( I worked in a print-shop one summer, kinda miss that fresh ink + paper smell....)

On the bench: Airfix 1/72 Wildcat; Airfix 1/72 Vampire T11; Airfix 1/72 Fouga Magister

Shooter,

I was with ichi go-ni from July,'66 to June, '67 and then went to Cherry Point and 252 until discharged in June of '69.

Need to add:

the smell of burning JP

gun powder ( was out yesterday practicing for IDPA qual)

I may get so drunk, I have to crawl home. But dammit, I'll crawl like a Marine.

Wayne...when were you with Ichi go Ni? I was in all three VMGR's before getting assigned to 242.

As for scents...spent gun powder when target shooting.

Freshly cut grass

Home made cinnamon rolls.

MEK (probably fried more than a few brain cells.  The metal shop used to mop their hangar shop floor with it once a month)

Mimeographed paper

Some perfumes (lightly applied)

Cookies and cakes baking

Cinnamon

There are many, but these are a few that stand out for me.

(In no particular order)

Freshly ground roasted coffee

Beer brewing

My wife's perfume (Opium & Paris)

The desert after a good Summer rain (pure heaven)

sautéed garlic and onions on the stove

Testors cement (red tube) the good stuff Big Smile

some pipe tobaccos

I'm sure there are several more, but these are off the top of my head.
