Since the Dolphins are sitting this one out again, I will be rooting for the score to match my numbers on several Super Bowl boards!

I don't.  That's why the DVD was invented.

I have only seen two complete football games in my life, both in high school, and one of those was becaue I was there with the local volunteer rescue squad, just in case.

Nobody... my team is not in it, and I'm going out of town to someplace tropical to relax and enjoy...

Sounds like the best way to spend your time during the Super Bowl. Have a great trip Stik!

Now to answer your question....since the Falcons beat my Seahawks I will be pulling for the Falcons.

I'm in NY, but went to Montreal for a lot of SBs in the 90s so I wouldn't be in the country when Dallas was playing. Not that I needed an excuse to get to Montreal, I've seen over a hundred game at the Forum. SB weekend was special, they'd play two matinee games on Sat/Sun.

I was born a Giant fan, was a season ticket holder until Wellington passed. That said, I know one thing about this SB, Brady is happy he's not seeing Eli on the other sideline...

Being a Giant fan you'd think I'd be behind Billy boy, he was amazing when he was our D coordinator (I hated Parcells), hate the Jets, etc, but after Tom Terrific laughed at Burress saying they'd be held to 17 points (they were) and BB ran off the field without shaking hands with Coughlin, I've got no use for them, let alone all the hijinks since then.

Not a Falcon fan either, but they're due.

I'm tired of Kraft and Co.

This year I'm not even really looking forward to it, no parties planned (yet). Maybe because they were few good games this year, the playoffs sucked, too much exposure and not enough product. The thing that made the NFL great was you could just check in at 1 or 4 PM on Sunday and 9 on Monday. Now it's Thursday, Sunday UK game, Sunday through midnight and one or two on Monday with Saturday games late in the year.

Remember how special it was when the first playoff games were on a Saturday?

I'm with Denny...the Dolphins aren't in it, so really doesn't matter.  But........I'm leaning towards the Falcons.  It will be one of those games I can watch for the game and not have to worry about my team doing well.  LOL!  Besides...admit it...we all watch it for the commercials!  LOL!  This years halftime show doesn't look promising.  Sorry if you are a fan of theirs, but it just doesn't do a thing for me.  When will they ask AC/DC or Iron Maiden to play the halftime show?!?!? Being from Dallas I would love to have seen the Cowboys go all the way this year, but since that couldn't happen, I'm going to put my support behind the Falcons.   However, my goal for tomorrow night will be to get my fill of beer and brats!BeerBig Smile

I don't really follow the NFL but I'd kind of like to see Atlanta dethrone the Patriots.  In the end, it really doesn't matter to me who wins.

Rooting for the Falcons!

First, being as I'm a die hard Denver Bronco fan, New England has become one of our arch rivals. The NFL has seen fit to schedule these 2 to play eachother in the regular season over the past few years. And then you have the playoffs. Hence, no love for the Patriots.

Second, my mother is from Georgia and my 3 brothers were born there. So, we have family ties to the Falcons. Although, my entire family are die hard Bronco fans.

By the way Toshi, yes, I am a big NFL fan as well as NBA.

Enjoy the game everyone!

The NFL does not purposely schedule them to play each other. There is a schedule rotation so that every four years you play every other team in the NFL and every three years you play every team in your own conference. Based on this rotation, every team already knows 14 of the 16 games they will play every year in the future, or until the rotation formula changes. Currently, each teams plays six games against the other teams in their division (three home and three away), all four teams of a division in your conference (a scheduled rotation), and all four teams in a division in the other conference. That's why it takes four years to play every team in the league.

The only two games that are unknown and vary are based what position in your division you ended up last year. This means that the first place teams play the other first place teams, the second place teams play the other second place teams, third to third and fourth to fourth.

So, basically, every year the Broncos win the AFC West and the Patriots win the AFC East, they will play one another. Next year, the entire AFC West will play the AFC East, but if it wasn't for the schedule rotation, the Patriots would play the Chiefs since they won the West. It was the same reason the Patriots always played Manning's Colts, both teams won their respective divisions and we got some pretty good Brady-Manning bowls.

This link will show the Patriots' schedule for the next several years, except for the two games that are determined by team placement. http://www.pslsource.com/new_england_patriots_future_schedule_of_opponents

I'm a Redskins fan but I live in New England.  I wasn't routing for either team but was hoping for a good game. Man did that ever happen. What a finish.  You can love or hate Bill and Tom but they are one of if not the greatest coach and QB to play this great game.

Agreed, the Patriots stole the win away from the Falcons. They just ran out of gas, 31 unanswered points and the win goes to the experienced team. By the overtime period, Atlanta had a hard time stopping anything. It took a face guarding pass interference by the Falcons to stop them from winning it the previous set of downs.
