He wrote me this very nice note last Fall after my stroke:

Hello Bill,

I was just checking in on you to see how you were feeling. Hopefully you are following your doctor's orders and taking it easy. You are so lucky that you made it home, and to the hospital before it got worst. Over the past few months I have responded to 8 strokes, which is a high number.

I believe I have over extended myself in the GB arena LOL. I am currently in 5 GB's which is too much. My fault (LOL)...I like joining them for the conversations and all the tips and techniques I learn. I have already planned to slow down with them after I complete these.

Bill, I am grateful that you are okay....and that you and your family are still whole. Make sure you do everything your wife tells you to do! (LOL). Be well, listen to your doctor's and get an annual check-up.

Hunter

I am very sorry for your loss. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Bill

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the proper location to post this, but I don't know where to. I am Jill Anderson, Hunter's wife and it absolutely breaks my heart to write this. Hunter passed away 2 months ago during a training exercise. He was in the process of completing the necessary training to join the Search and Rescue team in the surrounding counties near our home.

During the exercise, the rigging that was anchored broke loose and Hunter fell to the ground. He passed away during transport to the hospital. I am so grateful and blessed for the wonderful life we had together.

I am writting this because Hunter thought highly of all of you, and this site. I know he would want all of you to know he just didn't quit and walked away. I honestly don't know how much more our family can go through.

Best regards,

Mrs. Jill Anderson

Hunter
