My favorite car is the '60 Chevy Impala Convertable. With Turnpike cruiser skirts, large continental kit and the top down it is just the most beautiful "Land Yacht" that I have ever seen and owned. Next in line would be the '49 & '50 Merc. "Lead Sleds". Haven't liked any of the new car styles since around '69 & '70.

Car Week is coming in late August. A favoriote time of year. We go to every show we can fit in, and the vintage races at least one day.

I'm a big fan of runners.

Probably my favorite is the 250 GTB, followed by anything else from Ferrari.

The early 911s are nice, the Ford GT is a favorite.

Pawel

Hello!

That Nissan Figaro looks like a Syrena tribute car!

Here in Poland you will have problems finding people who think Wartburg or Syrena look good. Then again - looking at the photos you posted they don't look so bad, it's just that people who had the chance to drive them always wished they had something that drove better and were much more reliable.

...

Thanks for reading and have a nice day

Hi,

I can understand that.  From what I've read they appear to have had some similarlities, engine wise to cars like the Trabant.  But, when I first saw pictures of both of them on the internet (while researching the Fiat 500) the variety of paint jobs and overall "freindly" and "simple/clean" look of the cars caught my eye (some of them almost look like they are smiling when you look at the front of them Stick out tongue).

Additionally, I guess I should have also posted a picture of the Syrena Sport too, because it also had an interesting look. Smile

PS.  I also like the mod 50's Chevy's too

I'm a huge fan of all the late 60's and early 70's muscle cars. Chevy, Dodge, Plymouth, Pontiac, Ford, or Mercury, I love them all.

But, for some reason this one is my favorite by a very small margin:

71 Plymouth GTX 440

My next favorite type car would be modern 4 door sport sedans like a Jaguar XF much like this:

One of my favorites would be the Duesenbergs.  You've got to love a car with p to 16 cylinders and a altimiter.

Another would be the Mercedes Gullwing.

My Father iwned a Pierce Arrow once and then went on to 1950s and 60s Caddys.  He kind of liked it when I told him my armored car was built by Cadillac/Gage and my Brother owned a 1959 Impalla.

I like them Buicks and Chevys too, but my favourites would be the '56 and '57 chevys:

I always like the lead sleds, too:

I don't think mdern cars look very good - I'd be hard pressed to call one. and I was born in 1979!

Thanks for reading and have a nice day

Cars that you think are good looking
Posted by PFJN on Thursday, June 28, 2018 4:09 PM

Hi,

After reading the threads about 1st cars and unattractive cars, it got me thinking about some cars that I have come across over time that I think are good looking, and I was wondering what cars others may particularly find attractive.

For me, I am particularly fond of late 1940/early 1950 cars, especially Buicks and Chevys.  I own a 1951 Buick Special, as kind of a hobby car, and have recently made it my Avatar here.  In addition though, I also think the 1946 and 1950 Buicks were very attractive, as well as the 1949 Cadillac Series 61, as shown below.

1946-401950-401951-40

1946, 1950 & 1951 Buick Specials

19471949Series 61

1947 & 1949 Buick Roadmaster & 1949 Series 61 Cadillac

In addition though, over the last few years I have also stumbled across a number of foreign cars that I had never hears of before that I have also found intriging, such as the Wartburg 311 & 313, the FSO Syrena, and a new Syrena tribute car

Wartburg 311 & 313

Syrena 104New Syrena

Old Syrena (104) and new Syrena Meluzyna R.

And finally, I also kind of like the Japanese Daihatsu Copen and Nissan Figaro cars as well.

Daihatsu Copen & Copen Cero, and Nissan Figaro

So, does anyone else have any favortites that they would like to share?

Regards

Pat
