Jeff you do beautiful Work - those modeling skills are really paying off! Big Smile

Very inspireing, that is exactly what I need, my resin 3D printer is bannished to the cramped unheatable tool shead and our basement is full of half done model projects and supplies.

if only the back yard was bigger... time to move I guess.

Wow! Beautiful workshop. That is awesome. Love the wood work and views. I can imagine being held up and cozy in there working on a kit while old man winter is chugging away outside. Congrats on an incredible man cave.

MR TOM SCHRY

WOW!  Now that is a real "Man Cave".  Love the natural wood, natural lighting from the window, the flat screen tv, and the multiple work areas. Is this space located in a spare room or possibly in an attic?  All that you need to do now is to add a mini fridge, a microwave, and switch the Seahawks banner to a Pittsburg Steelers banner.  Congrats on this truly wonderful work space.

TJS

Thank you everyone for the kind words. Mr. Tom...in the second photo I have a black mini fridge and microwave on the left hand side. It is a freestanding building I built acouple years back and have finally been able to finish the interior.

Mate, I have joined since you started on this adventure and I've got to say that it is simply stunning. Even just looking at photos I can feel the vibes all the way down here in Oz. I love the light, the timber colour and the location. Congratulations, it may have taken a while, but it has paid off big time. Incidentally, is that a bar I see in photo two???? If so I'll be there in a fortnight!

Very nice workroom! Toast Like the view out the window. Looks like a very relaxing and comfortable area to work in. Well planned and executed.

Hello everyone,

Boy its been a while since I've been in here. I finally completed my last project and I am RETIRED now lol. I finally got to the interior of my modeling shop and have a few pictures for you. I surely hope all of you have been well.

General area for just tooling around.

My modeling corner

The storage bins will be utilized for extra parts, diorama supplies, decals...etc.

The only thing left is the flooring and baseboards. The black totes in the photos are full of paints, kits, and general modeling stuff that I still need to unpack.

Thank you for looking, and its great to be finally back and ready to model! LOL

Uh, Yup Yup. The honey-do list might get smaller now that you've done all that work, but, it's a never ending list. I've been retired since 1998 and there is still a list on the fridge every morning. Heaven help me if I don't get at least one item off the list each week.

Smart move. An escape room to escape those now that you are retired chores.

Same here just took a break from replacing my sons bedroom door frame. We had a new kitchen fitted before Christmas , that led to painting all the ceilings including bedrooms. The kitchen, dining room, living room, hallway and landing walls and skirtings. Didn't see that " alt="" />coming. Should add have had a load of help from my wife.

Hi Drifter,

I was looking back at this post as I'm very curious to see how your model shop turned out, inside and out.

Joe

Hello Joe,

I am getting there....I was scheduled to retire this past December, but I was asked to stick around for one more project. It should be complete by May 2020. I have also been busy finishing up the total home remodel I started last year. I plan on finishing my shop as soon as I finish this work project. I will post progress photos once I start back on it. Thank you for checking back in.

E Baker

With all of the amenities you will have in your model shop, being made to sleep in the "dog house" shouldn't be too bad of a thing!

LOL...very true E Baker, but I hope it never comes to that LOL.

A couple of the guys I used to work with know a place where you can still drive down a long dirt road, stop and leave a $20 bill in the large staple in the top of the fence post, continue down the road till you come to an open area, turn around and come back to the post and you will find a large mason jar of the "Good stuff" on top of the post.

One of the guys has quite a collection of those jars. Wink

The gentleman mentioned above was particular who he offered up his creations to....we were duck hunting in southern Oregon on a day that you almost had to break the ice to open the actions on our guns.  We got so cold and wet that we called it a day before the rest of the guys, and on the boat back in he took pity on me (I guess) and offered me the flask.  Was some kind of plum creation.....went down nice and easy with no bite, at least till it hit bottom, then it was like a Mk-82 went off.  Never had any offers in the years after either.Crying

Got hold of some in SC when I was at Shaw AFB....was easy to do a brain inspection since the top of your head opened right up.

Where will you put the still? Love it.

LMHO...I am not sure yet Bill

Dang Rev'nooers! It's funny what Goldhammer said too.

LOL...and yes, what GH said is funny and true. I bet if I went off the beaten path I could find the leftovers of a still. I hike and hunt in the backwoods of my area, and some areas of the Appalachian Mountains and you can see certain things that are signs of a still. There ares still a few old timers that were around during the hayday's of moon shining, and their stories are vivid, amazing, funny and a large part of our country's history.

Sadly, like most areas of this country pills have taken center stage to moon shining in my area.
