Time at the bench
Posted by Dodgy on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 1:24 AM

So, I really shouldn't complain. My wife has encouraged me to spend lots of time at the bench lately. The only trouble is that it was at her bench in the pantry, doing some construction on one to one scale shelves............

Cheers

Dodgy.

I know the feeling Dodgy. My wife is encouraging me to spend more time in the yard. Meaning that tommow I start taking care of 58 tree stumps. You can come over and help if you are bored. Hahahaha

Hey Dodgy!

Your Missus cooks a lot does she? Looks like that's her hobby. A lot of women like to cook. If yours does then you have done good!

Well Lurch, you know I'd love to, but I'm a little busy hiding from my wife right now in case she starts looking at the garden cos it's almost spring here.

Ah TB, she's an amazing cook and that's only half the pantry. In fact she is an awesome woman all round and I am one very lucky man.

Sorry TJ, didn't mean to cause any domestic dramas. If she spots the photo just tell her that Jill changed her mind and I had to take it all down again. Big Smile

(or is it really as bloody awful tasting as they say???)

"Why do I do this? Because the money's good, the scenery changes and they let me use explosives, okay?"

Happy wife happy life.

My wife has wanted a summer room for some time now and it's also ideal for putting family and friends up for the night as it is well insulated. Adam who is sixteen now started the foundation with me last autumn and the build this spring, he stuck with it throughout; haven't had the same result with modelling. It was basically swopping the small bench for the larger one with the instruction been pretty much the same ideal for my first real 1:1 build. Result a very pleased and delighted wife.

Believe me Lurch, if I had the money I'd be there tomorrow! Always wanted to go to the States. So many historical locations and museums and now thanks to FSM, so many new friends I would like to meet.

You are welcome to come over anytime Dodgy. Not many museums close by but there are a few in the twin cities about a 2 hour drive away.

I concure vegimite is spot on bobs yer uncle....in moderation, on biscuits with butter.

Tried it in Perth way back in the last century. Would love to go walkabout in Auss again, like ya say mate some day.

I do likes me peanut butter though....gotta fight the german shepard when I slather my apple slices with itStick out tongue

we're modelers it's what we do

I mainly use vegimite on toast or sangers. (Sandwiches). Same with peanut butter. Never thought of trying it with apple. Must have a crack at that.
