My Absence
Posted by Tanker-Builder on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 9:31 AM

Hi Ya'll:

I just discovered something yesterday the 4th of April. Folks remember me by my Models! You could've knocked me over with a feather! When the person I was conversing with brought up a model which has been carefully stored in a cool dark place, it knocked me back a little. The model was a car I built years ago and had the Chrome redone by "ChromeTech".For the pre Pandemic days it was shown as a display only piece at an I.P.M.S. show along with a paper Ship Model! Both were remembered by this person.

I guess this means I have found a new Home, from President of a RailRoad Museum to a retired position as an active member of an I.P.M.S. Group. Good Gracious, this means I will get to share more here locally for modelers in this area! As you know, I have been suggesting that scratch Ship Builders think about other scales than what's offered. You can put a Lot of time into a sailing Ship! You can go the same length building and detailing a modern ship too. We'll see! Surprisingly he stated that my absence was noticed. How about that?

I long to live in a world where chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned
