Progress on my webpage...
Posted by Dwight Ta-ala on Sunday, November 16, 2003 6:55 PM
I have finally started the reconstruction of my scalemodel webpage OUT OF THE BOX. I tried to re-do the whole background and some nav buttons. I have also started to replace the old pics with hi-res ones. A lot of work still needs to be done though. I am also trying to get better pics of my models to post in the webpage.

The pics shown are the kits I have built in the first year (yes I am a one year old modeler now) of kit building. The works are not great ones but...well I am just starting out and could get better. I am still working on the photography also and hope to get better pictures in time.

If you want to take a peek here's the link. The pics may slow down your browsing but I hope you won't mind.

Thanks.

Hey Dwight Ta-ala, I had a look around. It looks like it's going to be a great site! I tried to see the Hulk diorama but it wouldn't load. I'm going to try again later.

Woody: The Hulk Dio is still in progress so there are no pics yet. I just mentioned it in the main page under "What's on the Workbench." Sorry but I'll try to do it as fast as I can.
Thanks for trying the site.

Anyway, I am getting bugged with the problems of the data transfer. The site is getting cut off when there are many visitors on the site. This is a free site you know and the maximum rate allowed is quite low. So, sorry.

Please don't hurry on account of me. I would like a heads up when you do get it up. Hulk tearing up those tanks was about my favorite part of that flick.Cool [8D]

Looking good Dwight. I just got my first site going finally. A whole lot plainer than yours for sure , but that type thing is the part of the computer world that I get lost in.

Hi guys. I am glad that you were finally able to get in. Thanks for the comments. Still need a lot of work but I am also thankful that I am getting somewhere. When our current internet provide will be able to provide the web hosting space, I will eventually move this site.

Thanks again.

What I saw looked great, Dwight. Very well done!
I got booted out to Yahoo Geocities after being in for about 2 minutes, though. Then I couldn't get back in.
I'm looking forward to taking a nice, slow cruise through the site!

J-hulk & Alex: Thanks for taking time to look at the site. I have a lot of plans for it like replacing all the pics with better posed-studio quality ones and a lot of other stuff. Unfortunately there is always too little time (or not at all) to do it. I guess I just have to take it a step at a time.

Anyway, I am glad that you did not get booted out again.

Great site, Dwight! Looking forward to seeing your aircraft.
One question: Why is the Mobelwagen in the Miscellaneous category instead of armor?

nkm: Sorry, it happens all the time.

Erock: Thanks for taking a peek.

Styrene: That's a very good question. I am actually trying (and still trying until now) to make separate pages for tanks, AA Battery, Trucks or Guns, etc.. As of now I decided not to mix it with the tanks so I put it in the Misc temporarily. Thanks for browsing the site.

Just uploaded some 1/72 A/C pics on the aircraft section. My 3rd dio is also included.

You may check it out (that is if Geocities has already made it available by this time.)

frosty: You can call me DT (actually some of my friends call me DDT from Dwight David Ta-ala). Yeah I added some animation on my sig but have to stop using it for now because it might cause some members using dial-up hard times browsing the forum. I am reducing it down to size so that it will not slow down the connection of others. As you may already know I was named after Dwight David Eisenhower and of course you know who is. Douglas (from Douglas MacArthur) is also a popular name. Actually a lot of Filipinos use American names.

To the rest: Thank you very much for browsing the site and bearing with Geocities booting you out. I am working on improving it and posting some more pics until I ran out of space, LOL.
