i guess i have two spares boxes. prob being all the spares are still on old kits. the many moves i have had have brought my built kits down drastically and my "spares" up dramatically. my guess is anyone reading this is in the same boat. funny had my children drag out my old kits today to see if i could find the folder i kept all my directions in. hadnt thought about "spares boxes" until now.

My spares box is actually a set of small drawers so i guess its kinda like a spares drawers...whatever. I have left over pieces, accessories, decals, some figures i made a while ago that i scrapped and "looted" them of their weapons...

The trick is, don't ever throw anything away !! Of course, then you end up with so much junk that even if you might have a part that would work, you ain't got a snowball's chance in he** of ever finding it!!

My Armor spare box is starting to grow. With each kit that I build, I add to it. Most Tamiya Armor kits come with parts designated for another version, hence the extra parts included.

Every now and then, you see a listing on eBay for just such a thing (and people pay some big money for them too)
