You know who I forgot to mention???! Burton Cummings, the great voice of 'The Guess Who'. He is still going strong today having just released his CD 'Above The Ground' here in the U.S. He is still a great talent as a songwriter and a vocalist - and who doesn't sing along with any 'Guess Who' tune that comes on the radio??? "Clap For The Wolfman"

Oh my high school tunes!!! Love Badfinger. That band had one hell of a fantastic sound! Too bad Ham and Evans are not here with us, what a tragic loss. Don't forget the Beatles, and another of my favorites is CCR with Forgetty's unique voice!
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!

As I get older (50) and more tone deaf by the day I have evolved a simple music definition: "If it won't burn through 4 inches of steel at 1/4 volume it ain't music".
along with all the good bands, the "bubble gum" bands had they're day!

Gah! "This Flight Tonight"!!
So long folks!
I have many that I like but my favorites are Rush, Pink Floyd, and Stevie Ray Vaughan

Why can't I find the "Any" key on my keyboard?
Nazareth is cool! Given that their biggest hit was a Joni Mitchell song, I'm going to pitch her name into the ring as a rock legend, as either the writer of or inspiration of many legendary rock hits
N A Z A R E T H ! ! !
....and KISS, Queensryche, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath...
I also love Bon Jovi as well.

Poison?
This may explain the modeling rut. Next time you are out at the shooting range ask for a 'Poison' CD...
'PULL'...shotgun fires...Poison CD explodes!
Please for the love of life erase all the 'Rock of Love' shows recorded on your PVR.
Bret's motorcycles have more charisma than the 'gals' on that show.
Anyhow this should have you enjoying building again, post some WIP's of the completed Phantom.

Metal of all sorts, everything from vintage Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple all the way to some of today's bands to a point. Metallica, DLR-era Van Halen, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, UFO, Rush, even obscurites such as Hawaii (Marty Friedman's first band) and Picture (a 1980's Dutch heavy metal band whose records were never released in the US).
"Whaddya mean 'Who's flying the plane?!' Nobody's flying the plane!"
Gone but not forgotten:
Jimmy Hendrix, Randy Roads, Stevie Ray Vaughn.
One can only guess how much further these three would have elevated music and guitar playing if they had lived longer. Your music lives forever! RIP immortal legends of rock \m/
Having seen most rock and metal concerts of the late 80's and early 90's I have a favorite three bands that I will go to great lengths and expense to see when they tour:
AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Van Halen \m/
On the heavier side Metallica's first four Lp's are each classic ground breaking metal which each and every song kicks$1***$2
'Kill em' all'
'Ride the Lightning'
'Master's of Puppets'
'Justice for all'
Rawk! \m/
Over all favorite: Steve Ray Vaughn. Check out 'Live at Montreux' him playing 'Texas Flood'
Well, of course a tip of the cap to The Who, The Stones, Cream (Clapton), Hendrix, Zep, etc. But my faves are Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Rush, and I must add KISS. Became a fan after working with a local tribute band in the late '90s. Seen the original live 3 times, all in makeup. The show really is larger than life.......
Oh, and after spending 3 1/2 months on Dragon's M2 halftrack, it's finally done. Pics to come shortly.......

I would have to put up a rather long list, instead I'll just offer up Carlos Santana. I was never a big Santana fan but I saw him in concert at Shoreline around 1993 (with Steve Miller and John Lee Hooker) and that changed my opinion, he does a great live show. John Lee Hooker was pretty amazing too, he was this very old looking man who needed assistance getting on stage, and just sat in a chair, but he could still play and sing. He must have really been something to see in his prime.
Steve Miller was great too, but he was the one I was actually going to see, so I expected that.
That's my favorite rocker...
Andy
Ah, Hendrix is certainly a legend. Wish he had lived a bit longer.
Well, you all got the answer wrong.... Come on. Guess I'm the only +50 here.
The Beatles and the 'Stones for me, in that order.

"We have our own ammunition. It's filled with paint. When we fire it, it makes pretty pictures....scares the hell outta people."
Some of the ones that didn't make it as big as they should: Spencer Davis Group, Small Faces, Badfinger.
Too many to list...The Doors, The Who, The Stones, The Kinks, the Yardbirds, Zepplin, Deep Purple, and of course the founding fathers, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis, and many others...
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!
