Can't lose something you never hadBig Smile

Just kidding, can't help but be that way to a Manny question.

However since Manny loves everything and wants to Marry it, I guess love has everything to do with it.

Don't talk of love,
But I've heard the words before;
It's sleeping in my memory.
I won't disturb the slumber of feelings that have died.
If I never loved I never would have cried.

Little known fact - After clawing herself free of Ike, Tina courted Manny for several weeks. He dumped her to focus on his new leiderhosen design studio, prompting Tina to pen the lyrics to What's Love Got To Do With It... the rest is history.

Actually, Vance, that may not be true. At least not the Castro part. I remember reading a story about Manny in Time magazine having to dress as a woman prior to Bay of Pigs in the early 60's in order to get close to Castro and gain personal information about him and his daily whereabouts. They met several times for lunch but the plan fell through when Castro refused to continually see a woman with bushier eye brows than his....

Surprisingly, Claudia Schiffer - he never could stand her uppity, superior Westphalian attitude...

OK Fermis, you got me, I doctored the photo, and yes the hand specifically... the original showed a large Cuban cigar that he brought home during the afore-mentioned trip to Cuba. Leaving it in may have compromised his phony ID.  Wink

Well, considering I was 95 when that picture was taken, I'd say I look pretty good....maybe a few wrinkles on my hand, but otherwise...my lips were a bit fuller back then...

Poor photoshopping.  The hand seems to be overly weathered.  Perhaps a little dry brushing?.................

well part of the problem was the original photographer's obsession with Manny's face. Very sharp & in focus, while everything else seems a little soft-focused.

Manny von Manstein - the face that launched a thousand Panzerfausts...

well part of the problem was the original photographer's obsession with Manny's face. Very sharp & in focus, while everything else seems a little soft-focused.

...that method is achieved by smearing petrolium jelly (Vaseline) over all of the camera lens, except for the very center---where the face will be...I used that technique when I was briefly a fashion photagrapher in New York in the mid-fifties...

Another little know fact is that Manny became Zhukov's beotch after the surrender to avoid the Gulags.
