I just "upgrade" to this 6 foot table from an old folding card table, about 2.5 feet wide. I love the extra space and it will probably get filled up with stuff.

I aspire to get a huge corner desk with a paint booth mounted by the window and lots of drawer space, with a hutch to display my builds. A nice, new heavly-padded rolling chair is on my list next. My butt gets sore on this folding chair.

Lets see some more photos of workbenches. I love looking how others build their masterpieces.

Doogs: Dont't change a thing... I cleaned mine because I couldn't find a part for the current project... found the part now I can't find anything else I need.

Yup....as good a reason as any to not screw with the system.

Ok, I fell bad now. I guess I am a little of a neat freak. I get harassed at work about this also. You be the judge, here is my workbench:

That window is my paint booth, a box fan with a filter bungeed corded to it. I have to keep my trash can on the corner of the table or my new puppy eats everything in it. (This is really bugging me)

Don't feel bad.....but yikes. I'm not sure I'll be able to get my head around THIS........

I would take a picture of my work area but I might break my camera.  The small space  with multiple WIP projects is not a good combination.  I sometimes clean things up but it lasts 2 days at tops before it is back to the mess.  Suprisingly though I know where everything is and have yet to lose pieces despite trying to build a B-17, P-51 and P-47 all at the same time

On The Bench: 1/48 HK B-17G "Man-O-War II"

On Deck: 1/48 Tamiya P-38H, 1/48 Revell PV-1

Another user of the good ole fold up table. Starting to feel better about using them myself. There are now three of us that I know of. Yes

My first bench was a homemade fold-up table...does that count for anything? I was 9. Then we moved, table got repurposed and I built on the floor til high school. Then I didn't build anymore. When I came back, I sat on the couch and built in my lap. I finally graduated back to the floor, pulling the coffee table up over my legs, occassionally going to the dining room table, when my wife could handle me being a whole 10 feet away! We are finally (7 yrs ago) in the house that I'll die in, and my wife has been succesfully weaned off of my side, it was time to put in a 100% dedicated area.

Counts as far as I am concerned. I am planning on replacing the fold ups as soon as my wife is convinced this is not a "phase" I am going through.

I thought mine was a mess.  I got paint bottles still on the table from a model that's been finished since last year and the current projects don't need it...why it's still there I don't know.  Let's see I put that fine sandpaper somewhere, shouldn't be too hard to find as I only have a folding card table to search

Hmm, looks pretty organized to me.Smile  It seems that there is an unwritten rule in modelling that no matter how big your room/desk/bench is, your actual workspace is about 6"x6".   At least that's how it works for me.

OMG!  Doogs, now I am going to have nightmares because of this.  D*MN YOU!  LOL  Nah, I just suffer mild case of OCD and I don't leave my workbench until it is completely clean.  Yes, it is a disease... you are better off with what you have. Wink

Pfft, think that's bad? wait till you see MINE... I live in an organized state of confusion. If it can be messy, it is. Strange thing is, ask me for my one bottle of Vallejo flesh? I know exactly where it is, right behind the half-completed MH-60 and underneath the dremel attachments sitting on the Hasegawa P-40 box.

I envy all the storage and desk you have. Hey, I do see your tank there.

I don't see a problem. There's still plenty of spare floor space...
