I think it was unnecessary to change it to that.

I'm ok with this, Aaron. It is what it is, and anyway I'll admit to a little crush on Karen Gillan.

You and I both! And I'd much rather look at her everyday than Dredd or Zhukov.

Do we now address Aaron as a Marshal of the Soviet Union and The conqueror of Berlin?

BTW......does a Marshal of the Soviet Union out rank a German Field Marshal?

To answer the original question - yes. There's no way I'll pay $50+ for something when I know that I'll be able to find it for half that in a year or two. Too much stuff in the closets to justify needing another kit right now.

Manstein's revenge

 Aaron Skinner:

 Manstein's revenge:

 bondoman:

 Manstein's revenge:

Speaking of Dreadnaughts---I like the "wink and nod" that Aaaron gace the "Steel Castles" GB in the latest issue of FSM...anyone who has their new mag will know what I'm speaking of...

Mine hasn't come yet. I live in a small town and it may be that the mail dog is on strike.

I may scan and post it in the GB---he (Aaaron) probably won't admit it, but I think not that it is a coincidence...

Manny,

I'm not sure I'd call it a plan to promote the GB as much as I have always liked this period apparently much like the rest of you, so when the kits arrived, I was all over them. We'll have a review of the Dreadnought in the January issue for anyone that's interested.

Cheers, Aaron

PS Please don't scan  and post ithe page, 'cause that's a copyright violation and we frown on those.Sad

LMAO, so scanning an article in FSM magazine and posting it in the FSM internet forum in a favorable light would get your panties in a wad?Sad Okay, whatever you say--after you nuked the O&E forum I'm not gonna give you any more reason to nuke General ModelingWink...like the new avatar; it suits you ...Yes

Manny,

Yes, this is would be a copyright violation. As Tracy said, you could post part of it as part of a review, but scanning the one page article and posting it on a site (even ours) that is accessible by everyone is not on. From the rules:

3. Avoid transmitting any information, software, or other material that violates or infringes upon the rights of others, including material which is an invasion of privacy or publicity rights or which is protected by copyright, trademark, or other proprietary right, or derivative works with respect thereto, without first obtaining permission from the owner or right holder.

Cheers, Aaron

Yes. I will wait for the price to drop on ebay or some online retailer. It would be nice to get it when it's freshly released, but my stash is more then ample. I know if I'm patient I can save a lot of money. I hate paying retail for anything.

I got in trouble with both Von Richtofen and Voss for the "Kaiser Face" on my red Dr 1... Pity they didn't make it, but both died because they were stupid...

Would've loved for either of them to try and make me change it, or paint on a Hakenkreuz...  Like that ridiculous Dicke Hermann did in '43...

Hans:

This site has info on an all red  Von Richtofen  Albatros D3 -

https://hangar47.com/Albatros_D_RDMG.html

Now you can paint your D-3 red to go with the red Me-109 and red Me-262....Wink

B-17 Guy

Speaking of prices, I got lucky. Went to hobby lobby yesterday, picked up the tamiya mossie w/the little british car for $25.19, down from from $70! And the Italeri spit mk IX (American aces) for $12.59, down from $35!

One local HL has been inconsistent in marking down kits.

The Italieri Mk 9 was marked at $12.59 as well as the Gallery Models USS Wasp (LHD-1) from $229 + to less than $100..

However,  the Tamiya mosquito and the majority of the other "discontinued " HL kits are still at the 40 pct. discount.

 Manstein's revenge:
like the new avatar; it suits you ...Yes

You *DO* like to tempt fate, don't you? Wink

Actually, if you scanned in part of the article and posted part of if as a review, that would be completely legal under terms of fair use. You just have to cite the source, owner, etc. I see people who take this too far, scanning in photos from a book, tacking on a disclaimer that it's only posted for review purposes, and then NOT discussing the book at all, but fair use is well defined at least enough that you can understand the line.

Wait...are you questioning Aaron?  Maybe it is you who are tempting fate??? Wink
