What's not in your stash.
Posted by roony on Saturday, April 21, 2012 10:47 PM

I was just reading the most unbuilt in the stash.  That got me going with what is not in the stash that you want.  Or better yet, what haven't you built that you want to.  For me I need a 1966 Charger and a 1963 Split window Corvette.  For aircraft a Boston ( A-20 for you Yanks).  Typhoon ( the current and the WW2),  I need a F-22,  and a F-35 once they are in service. There are others but these come to mind the quickest.

Built both kits as a child but neither survived the first move.

Still waiting for a re-release - especially of the Renwall- as "collector prices" are rediculously high.

I still need a T2V SeaStar (I have a T-33 to convert, but, haven't looked at what that would entail, yet)

I need to get an F-111 kit to use my Revell parts on to make an F-111B Naval version

and I still need to get a "decent" F-15 kit to use the ASAT and decals from my Esci kit

if someone were to do an XNQ-1, and an injected SNC and NR-1, I would snap those up, too,,,,,a Timm's trainer wouldn't go to waste either,,,,,,,,,a BTK to go with the AM, AD , and all the AD ancestor kits that were done would look cool too,,,as of now, if you are willing to do vac conversions and resin kits in a mix with injected plastic,,,,the whole group from BTD/TB2D/SB2D on up to XA2D-1 is possible,,,,,,except for the BTK, and I think the BTK was the best looking of the whole bunch

shrug,,,,,lots of build time yet, before those,  for me, though,,,,,these are not exactly mainstream aircraft, lol

There are a few that I'm missing that I gotta have someday.

- 1:72 B-52D...Had one of the "Big, Bad, and Beautiful" line years ago that got lost in a move.

- 1:48 Shinden.

- Hasegawa's 1:72 VF-11B Thunderbolt

- Hasegawa's VF-22 with Max Sterling's markings ( though I may just custom-paint a YF-21 for that )

- The new Evangelion kits based on the movie.

- The really nice 1:350 Space Battleship Yamato kit with the lights, motorized turrets, etc.

- Memphis Belle

- Mi-24A ( the ones with bubble canopies are all over the place, I want that "Red Dawn" look )

How the hell can you lose that thing, its huge. I picked up one last year. The first one i had, which was partly built, was badly damaged over the years through moving around. What i would really like is a decent Cockpit for it. I got my second one just as Goffy went out of buisness.

There are a few kits on my to buy list that are easy enought to. Two i really would like to get hold of, both in 72nd, are a DFS 230, can't find the Huma kit anywhere. And a Ju 87C, kit or conversion.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Thanks, BaBill212.

Irksome thing is:  I learned the GT-200  kit was re-issued during the early 1990s -after I left the hobby.Sad

Your comment about an upgraded Tiger II prompts me to add that , and many more armor kits to my list of desired stash items.

.............and then there are the ship kits.........and the "antique" auto kits, and the 1/24 aircraft kits................Whistling

So many kits, so little time, money and storage space....................Crying

In 1/32, I want both an Su-27K Sea Flanker and an Su-33UB to round out my collection of absurdly large jets but no one has yet made either (Trumpeter, get on the ball- you're the only one making 1/32 Flankers!!).

Other than random impulse buys, my stash is complete except for those two wishes.

I was refering to Tojo72 's wish list.  I thought it would be attached.    Yeah I need a B-52 and a B-24 as well.  How about a PBY from Midway.

I like the detail levels and completed model size in those scales but the attraction to these kits are primarily the subject

I would say the Fine Molds 1/72 scale Millenium Falcon kit. I had a chance to pick one up when they first came out. It was $150ish and I balked at the price plus I didn't think I had a place to store the finished kit. Today, they are going for twice that. A club member had one in an open box and it was a lot of detail and plastic, but overall a nice kit.

I keep looking at the add for that Zoukei-mura He219 in 1/32 & thinking I need it. I have no idea where I'd put it though, so I guess I should be looking for the -219 in 1/72 or 1/48...

I know what you mean vance, that looks sweet. I am building up some loyalty towards revell 32nd, but its going to be a close call between the two.

If you want 72nd, you have one Revell and 4 Gragon to choise from. Does anyone do it in 48th?

The Dragon kits can be hand for decent money, probably what I'll end up with. I know Tamiya makes one in 1/48, but I really haven't seen one in my regular shopping areas.

One of the members of our club built the 1/48 Tamiya version and was very happy with it, great fit and detail. Wish I had some photos of his model, she looks fantastic!

Biggest thing I wish I had and don't was a series of Gamera and Gojira/Godzilla limited run garage kits that came out years ago. On the other hand I don't think 90% of the kits were ever releashed outside of Japan though... Crying

My stash of armor is whoafully missing British and Russian subjects. So I would like the following:

British Crusader Mk II in 1/35

British Valentine Mk II/III in 1/35

Russian BT-7

Russian T-34 model 43 or T-34/85

I assume you mean the 72nd kit. I already had all the dragon kits when the revell was re-released, so i didn't bother checking it out. I believe its an older kit.

As I've been saying for years:

1/35 British Mark IV with full interior and GOOD TRACKS!!!

Also, I wish someone would redo the 71-73 Mach I's and the '72-73 Road Runners,

Ah heck--give me some later Chargers too, while yer at it.

Now that they've released almost all the Wafffentrager models, I"m hard pressed to find anything in WWII that I'm craving?
