So much for those custom resin casting companies!

I'm guessing that you'd have to have CAAD along with some sort of 3D scanner to accurately replicate parts? Don't think either one mentioned being able to "copy" something you set on the flatbed (although that would be ridiculously cool, and coming sometime I'm sure!).

When it can replicate a model kit, then i will be impressed. I might finally get that Ju 87C i want.

Is it just me, or is the price of that printer stirring  memories of old threads.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to go there. I was behaving myself. It was too tempting.

I know, i couldn't resist. But i did try and be subtle about it.

beshides, how long before manny comes along.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

PritMar

What model are you considering spending $1,229 on?

LOL!  That was kind of an underhanded reflection on how expensive modern kits have become.  Crying

Does anyone else have the feeling that 3D printers will become as commonplace in the typical household as the "regular" printers are today?  Heck you can buy a computer now and they'll GIVE you a free printer.  Imagine it being like that with 3D printers in the near future!

Hi guys!

For the cost of some of the newer Tamiya, Trumpeter and HK Models releases, you, too, can have your very own desktop 3D printer!
