I had the big Constitution displayed on the entertainment center for almost 2 decades and everybody seem to really like it.  It was plastic but it looked like wood and made a nice conversation piece.

Cars and planes?  Probably not.  Something vey old maybe like a model T or Stearman next to an old radio or clock might be nice.  But a Klingon Bird of Prey on your coffee table... nah.
