RM uses a just-in-time inventory model.  If they would have had to have an inventory, you would be paying for it as it costs money to keep stuff on the shelf.  I got my email notice on Tuesday that my C-54 had shipped, and I got the package slip on Saturday which is exactly the way I figured it would happen, to go and pick it up on Monday.

Roll Models is a great small company that has its niche in the market.  Like Stick said earlier, it really pays to look at their website; you will see companies you've never heard of before and find some really cool, yet unknown items that you can't live without!

While I was in Iraq back in '05, I started a list of 'must have' military models that I wanted to build of my M1114s, and the Iraqi Army vehicles that I worked with- a hodge podge of US, British, and Russian equipment.  I sent the list home to my wife to hang on to until I got back, I jokingly called it 'my Christmas wish list.'  Little did I know, my wife called Roll Models and ordered many of the items on the list.  When they found out that my wife was getting model kits for her Soldier, they gave her an incredible DEEP discount on the prices as a 'thank you' for our family's service! That really meant a lot to both me and my wife that a small company would be so considerate of an Army family...

I was majorly surprised when my wife sent me a couple of the models in a care package........(I didn't get to build them, but I sure got to go over the kits in detail and look at the instruction sheets though!)

That simple, yet heartfelt gesture made me a committed Roll Models customer for life.....good folks!!Yes

That's an awesome story, Dave!

For what it's worth, I've ordered several times from Roll Models. I've also asked questions via the web site and gotten prompt, personal answers. In all cases, the service was fantastic and everything showed up when they said it would.

Regards,

-Drew

Right there with you, Drew.....I like Roll Models unique items and their personal service.  Don't see that too much any more in any industry.  I can wait a little longer for stuff to come at a better price from a reputable company......Like most guys, I've got plenty to keep me busy!!!

Take care,

Dave
