It always makes my day when the new FSM is in the mail! I usually quickly skim through it first, then sit down and read the whole thing, except for the ads (sorry, advertisersSmile [:)]). One I'm finished, my appetite hasn't been satisfied, so I'll drag an old one out from years back and read that too!

I usually end up reading it all. I haven't been back in the hobby that long, so I soak it all up!

I'll flick through it quickly on receiving it, then read articles at random through it, sometimes more than once, but it satys out until its read cover to cover including the adds. Every 9-12 months I will actually go back through all my back issues and read selected articles again. The next issue is always too long in coming.

I read it from cover to cover although it might take a couple of days to do it. I also find myself rereading my back copies. Got about 90% of them starting with issue #1.

Pretty much cover to cover for me, too. Been doing that since 1988, and I still have all those issues, too!

Not all of it, but a lot. I particularly read the reviews, the tips, reader's comments and the technique articles.

Cover to cover, several times as it sits near my favorite reading seat until replaced with the
the next months issue. Gotta read a few times to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I read the whole thing. I start by leafing through and reading the articles that catch my eye. The next pass I read the reast of the featured stories. While reading it the next few times I squeeze every last drop out of it, ads and all!

I read the mag cover to cover, but don't always remember everything. Also, with my primary interest being in armour, I don't really find all that much of what I want in the mag. Plus, sitting at work, I pretty much fly through an issue in a day or two at most, so it's not really enough material in there for me! Make it larger by 20 pages or so :)

I usually end up reading it in one sitting..... I will occasionally skip out on a Sci-Fi or ship article unless I find something interesting about it. I do enjoy the articles like the one where the guy built the Flying Wing from Raiders of the Lost Ark...that sort of thing is interesting to me....

I also love looking though the ads to see what's new and what's on sale Wink [;)]

I am one of those cover to cover readers too. I usually thumb through it first and read the areas that interest me most. Then I start at the front and read the complete magazine. I keep all of mine in a binder for future reference. There have been lots of times I have gone back and read parts of a magazine that is one, two or three years old.

Like Joe, I read pretty much the whole thing. Even though I build mostly AC, I read the Armor and Sci-Fi, etal., because sometimes there are helpful ideas that I can apply to my modeling efforts. Some of the articles are great, some are disappointing, but most are at least interesting.

Wait... There's SCI-FI in FSM??? When did this happen??? Wink [;)]

I, too, build primarily 99% aircraft but I love reading the issue from cover to cover! I first start with all the AC-related articles. Then I'll start back over and read from front to back all the non-AC related articles. THEN (and I never thought I'd ever say this) I love to go back and read the ads! Mr. Hansen, tell your advertising folks that so many of my FSMs have the ad sections dog-eared and many of the advertisers have been patronized by me. I think FSM is the only publication I get (subscription or otherwise) where every single page is read from cover to cover!

Cover to cover. I keep my most current one in my briefcase, and read it (over and over) while waiting for my next trailer (load).

When I can find it I do. I know that I should get a subscription to avoid the hunt but at one time I could find it at the newsstand but they don't carry it any longer. So I just go without for long stretches of time. It's a pity.Sad [:(]

It ain't that thick a mag, and there's always something to learn in every article and story.

Pretty much the whole thing, often more than once. It could stand to be a hundred or so more pages packed with articals mind you. I wouldn't complain.

Generally cover to cover, sometimes many times over. If there is a story that doesn't pertain to my interest, I may skim it or skip it.

Well some people may be like me around here in the sense that the last issue I had my hands on was the Feb. one. I pick them up a coule issues at a time when I make it to the LHS. I do read it cover to cover though and for me it seems like I get done with it way to soon.
