Anyone ever decide to make a totally fictional model?

When I was in Okinawa I did see Godzilla.  He was standing on top of a store front, standing about 20 feet or more tall and holding a winddsurfing board in his hand and wearing a T-shirt of the up comming competitions.  A most impressive sight.  I'll have to try and find the picture.

The question in the title of the original post asked if I ever built a totally fictional model.As far as I know all of those are totally fictional.I mean I never saw Godzilla or King Kong,but pretty sure they are fictional 

 

That would basically cover any science fiction kit such as Star Trek, Star Wars, Buck Rogers, Robotech, the fictional stealth fighters of the 80s, Batmobiles, super heroes, Aurora dinosaurs (many of those were rather fictional representations), MPC's Pirates of the Caribbean skeletal pirates, etc.

So much of what we build is fictional.

Yes, I have made several fictional kits, the Aurora monsters as a kid.

King Kong

I think I also made The Seaview sub

 

 

 

 

Each of those kits were based on an actor in a suit, except the Seaview and maybe the original King Kong. It did exist as a studio model and Kong was based on the stop action clay creation.

Even the Gorilla was an actor in a suit. I believe there is a resin upgrade that replaces the gor illa head with the studio actor's head.

So these are models of actual items, some of which are fantasy.

Decided to hang it up ...the exposed timber made it easy to use the fishing tackle hanging harness.   

Beaching gear installed.   

Well it had a more semi gloss finish as it dried.

Yup!

      Trouble is, I had at that time, More money than sense. Still, the Memories are good, overall. One failed attempt to create sailboats out of Fibreglas. Folks where I lived couldn't figure things out. Made and sold three. They are at last check , still afloat too! Let's see, that makes them almst 48 years old!

As I recall, this aircraft was the A.V. E. Rage company's long distance maritime search aircraft prototype. But as it had no capability of floating, became an important behind the lines resupply aircraft for morning beverage of the Arab Troops- the A.V.E.Rage "Joe".

When the Ottoman Army attempted to retake Aqaba on the Red Sea, three 'Joes" were scrambled from Amman with war loads and sent south.

Unfortunately all three had misplaced propellers causing them to diverge from course.

Joe 1 flew south west into Sinai and landed at Folger in Egypt.

Joe 2 flew south east into Saudi Arabia and landed at Sanka.

Joe 3 had all three props put on backwards and flew north and was never seen again.

I used a 0.025 guitar string for the box kite bracing...

Started the rigging. Fine fishing line.   

One of the kits I've been tinkering with is a mishmash of the Dragon MBT70 turret on the hull of an Esci M60A1. The tank never made it past a dozen prototypes due to too many problems with the turret and counter revolving driver's compartment, among other new technology problems.

So I am removing the driver compartment from the turret and keeping it in the same spot as the traditional M60 series tanks.

I plan on calling it an MBT60 along with some other modifications to the turret.

I have a question on this.

As I have followed this I have noticed something that Piqued my interest. Is she supposed to be a Sea-Plane? I was wondering because of the Bow shape ( Nose?)
