Don't try to be good at it, just be yourself.

Practice, practice, practice! If your only on your second model don't be so hard on your skills or knowledge. It takes years to become a master modeler and to be honest there are darn few of them. I suggest getting inexpensive, less detailed models with low parts counts in order to get yourself comforatble and familiar with the building process, which is different for each of us. Onece you get "the basics" down you will find your stress goes down as well as your skill to handle different situations better goes up. Above all do EXACTLY what you have already done....ASK A QUESTIONGeeked, ya never know until ya ask.

we're modelers it's what we do

Just glue it together and have fun.  No body is watching, just enjoy
