1/35 seatbelts
Posted by modelcrazy on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 4:00 PM

OK boys, I'm out of options.

I want to get some seatbelts for my 1/35 M1240A1. Eduard made some but they are discontinued and can't find them anywhere. I don't want to scratch them. Does anyone have any ideas? I thought of HGW belts but not sure which one will work.

What do these belts look like?  Are they like regular car type belts or something a bit more exotic?

I looked on line, thet kinda look like a 5 point harness. Over both shoulders and appear to attach across the hips. By the looks of a " show room" delivery the drivets side appeared to have a plastic sheath and pads that went over the shoulders. The only way I can think to replicate them might be masking tape, the brown stuff, folded over sticky to sticky then cut to shape and size.

This may sound odd but paper card stock comes to mind. It can be hand drawn, cut with a new blade and is cheap. Just an idea. OR if you have any left over photo etch frets they to can be cut and shaped.
