FSM Snapshot how-to stories
Posted by Tim Kidwell on Thursday, March 17, 2022 11:00 AM

If you're looking for quick how-to modeling advice on a variety of subjects, make sure to check out FSM's Snapshots. Each Snapshot is a quick hit on a particular technique or skill, like painting wood grain on a propeller or scratchbuilding fuel drums. We're adding new Snapshots all the time, and each comes with a downloadable PDF that you can save and pull up to peruse offline whenever you need to. Click here to see what's available!

We'll let you know as more Snapshots hit the site.

Thanks!

Hi Steve,

Glad you think so. We'll continue to add to the series. In fact, I'm working on a new one for next week right now.

Hello!

A new Snapshot is available: Make straps for scale models from tape and wire. This is an easy method to improve details on models, whether its for tack and harness, seat belts, webbing, etc. Remember, every Snapshot comes with a downloadable PDF you can save on your computer for viewing offline.

There's a new Snapshot up on FineScale.com, this one by the inimitable Tim Boyd giving tips for detail painting scale model car engines. Click here to take a look!

And remember, Snapshots always come with a downloadable PDF for viewing offline.

Thanks!
