My latest offerings may be of interest to petrolheads - a couple of beauty shots of some classic cars, and a Ferrari Track Day at Donington Park, which I stumbled across by chance when I visited the excellent Formula 1 museum there in May.

this is another way of posting images on this site DIRECTLY on the forums. i havent figured it out yet though. the image inserting is odd. anyway you can go to www.speedis.org and upload an image from your hard drive. it will give that image an internet address and u can post it.

Gus,

1. That is exactly what the gallery does. You upload it from your hard drive.. it gives you an Internet Address... and you can insert it into your post.... see mine below. Its free hosting.

2. You cannot post directly to the forum. The forum pulls the image from the URL you put into the img tags. There is nothing to figure out.. it doesnt exist.

3. This is the most common way of posting images on any forum.

You aren't an idiot Gus, you just didn't know.

I started it because when I came to the site the forums were littered with "how do I post a pic" and "where can I host?" .. as well as the broken image links because yahoo pictures or wherever would give them a download limit ... which is one of the easiest things to fix. Its a very visual hobby and I enjoy seeing other people's work.

Ron

Thanks for providing the Image Gallery.

Just uploaded a few pics O-2, B-47, F-4, F-14, XB-70, and an OV-10. I need one of the OV-10s deleted. I also loaded different views of a hummer. Hopefully, I have successfully posted a image

I deleted that one for you.

Those are some nice pics, thanks for uploading them.

My father owned a Cessna 337 [O-2] when I was a kid. I just bought the Testors model, he wants me to do it in the camo pattern he had his painted in.

Thanks
That was the 2d one I built. I plan to build another. I am looking for an O-1 Bird Dog in 1/48 to round out my FAC aircraft. Plus I need to redo that OV-10.

added a new workshop pic, but I don't seem to be able to add to the buildups gallery. Is there a big arcing switch that needs to be thrown in the mad scientist castle before it will work? Wink [;)]

Hey Caveman, just to let you know I renamed those albums you created. Instead of album04, it has a name more specific.

:)

I just added a new folder in the Ships folder. I named the folder Captain Kidd. This was my first go at a ship like this. It took me about 3 months to make. Well there are a few things that I don't like about it, but anyways here it is.

Hey Ron,

I keep meaning (but forgetting) to thank you for puting my 1/72 Challenger tank on the armour modeling section's title image.

Even though I've been in the modelling hobby for more than 20 years, that is my first armour kit ever, I loved the way it turned out and its very gratifying to see it meet with the aproval of veteran armour builders such as yourself.

Thanks a lot!
