The Aurora Blue Knight and Silver Knight from the early 60's.  I  built the Black Knight a while back.

Just came across an Aurora Avro CF-100 in my stash; the scale is undefined. Have no idea of when I got it, but judging from the (c) date of 1960 on the instructions and the  look of the paper, it was about that time.

original Tri-Master Me 262. Don't even remember when I got it, but it's been sitting in the rack for a lot of years (and likely will for some time yet).
Take this plastic and model it!

I have an DML Dragon 1/35 III M/N I bought around 1991 and it is still in the plastic rap. It is the first 1/35 model I bought. I will never build or sell it. Mischief [:-,]

I've have a...Hawk P-51D, box shows 1962, authent-i-plated(chrome plated) and a Monogram Hurricane, box shows 1964

I initially bought both kits to build, but after sitting in my stash(for ages) looked at the age and decided to just look at.  [when I finially kick-the-bucket my wife will probably get ripped off in a yard sale]

I started keeping notes on my purchases in 1971 and I have too many to list, but they do include a Monogram B-26, Airframe F5F Skyrocket, Frog P-51A, Fujimi Ki-44 Tojo and Revell SR-71 Blackbird. My last count was something over 350 kits still unbuilt. Any day now .... !

two of them... both by MPC

one is R2-D2 and the other is C-3PO

6" tall models, no clue when they were made or how much they are worth. Both are in original shrink wrap and I am afraid to touch them until I learn more about worth, or if I should just build em.

The Visible B-17?!  Holy Cow - I read somewhere recently that that is valued at around a thousand dollars.  I can't remember where - I think it might have been an interview with someone from Revellogram.

I have a Monogram 1/72 F-4 Phantom in a rather beat-up box that I aquired from a trivia contest in my model club. It must be from the very late 70s to the early 80s if I had to make a guess.

Excellent thread -

I'm not sure how old it is, but I bought used an ESCI 1/9 Zundapp morotcycle w/ sidecar.  When I was a kid my friend had one in his closet and I thought it looked really cool - especially the machine gun - so when I saw one available at a sale I snatched it up.

I also have MPC 3-in-1 kits of the Heinkel He-111 and the Dornier Do-17, but I have no idea how old those are either.  I also have the Lindbergh 1/32 PT-109.  I also got that cheap years ago - I remember opening the box and the part right on top was the deck.  I lofted it out of the box and it immediately bent along a weak point in the middle of the part.  I put it right down and haven't touched it since.

WOW old post revival...  Mine is the Revell 1/69 scale V2 with trailer and mobile launcher I bought in 1972.  I think it was out of, or going OOP at that time so I have no idea what the overall age of the kit is.

The first kit I built was a Lindberg 1/72 P-47B. When I got back into modeling last year, I found a couple of those on Ebay- a 1967 issue still sealed in the box, and a 1974 boxing opened and complete in the original box. Rob Gronovius was kind enough to send me a reproduction of the kit from the 90's, so I was able to build the reproduction and have both an original sealed and unsealed copy. I plan to make a nice display with it all one day.

Hey Dick, I also have that piece of junk unbuilt! Maybe we can share the project... 2 AD-1s built at the same time, but in different markings!

Cheers,

Diego.

Well, mine break down into two categories. Kits I bought but never started and kits I started but never finished.

The oldest kit I bought and started was the original Tamiya M2 Bradley. I bought it while in college around 1986 and never got around to finishing it. I left it at mom's when I went into the Army and have since retrieved it (about 18 yrs later). I still haven't completed it, but I did buy another one and built/finished that one.

The oldest kit I bought and never even attempted to build was an Italeri CWT gun tractor truck. I bought it in 1988 when I was stationed in Germany. Never started it, and still have it today.

I bought a bunch of old kits awile back, but to be honest, I got married to a wonderful woman in 2001 that loves my hobby and allows me to buy kits without tearing them up once built, so all my stash is within 3 years, just have a few oooooold kits in it that I have anaged to pick up cheaply.

PS wanna get rid of the cutty shark kit????
