                        My most expensive is the Minicraft 1/350 Titanic, with 5 different PE sets. It set me back about £160 over a year ago and it is still on the shelf. I will get to it one day.

                        AU$165 for the Trumpeter Su-27, followed by the 1:24 scale Airfix Spitfire mk1 at AU$80 (some years back)

                        $3500 for a kit??? Crikey!!! Spending that kind of money on my hobby is not happening soon!

                        most expensive kits in my stash are Classic Airframes, Eduard Profi-packs, Tamiagawa stuff..........+ all the AM paraphenalia..........
                        now that i'm reminiscing on modelling expenditures i 'spect a few kits w/ resin and PE sorta adds up............

                        The most I've spent is $100 for a MISB, IMC Ford GT40 (circa 1960's) from some guy in Italy. Next is probably the Monogram "Young Astronauts" B-52 w/X-15 for $56, but I'd have to check my Ebay purchases to be sure.

                        The most I've thrown at a model was $60.00 Canadian for Classic Airframes' 1/48 F-5A Freedom Fighter.

                        Put that up to $73.00 after I put out for the Leading Edge Decal sheet and resin IFR probe to go with her.

                        Other mentions (all in Canadian funds):
                        Hasegawa 1/72 F-111G RAAF Aardvark ($50.00)
                        Warhammer Eldar Falcon Grav Tank ($60.00)
                        Babylon 5 Wars white metal Vorlon Battle Cruiser ($40.00)

                        Best deal I ever got on a kit was:
                        Revell 1/144 Space Shuttle ($1.00)
                        Yes, ONE Canadian dollar! The toy shop at the local mall got an overstock of them and had to get rid of them. In hindsight, I should have bought all five.

                        You saw the new Trumpeter Morser for less than $100, the one with the railway carriages? Wow, if that is the case, DO buy it, and make yourself a nice profit on ebay, as people will be bidding quite high for that one.

                        The most I have paid for a kit is $55.00 US. Trumpeter came out with 1/32 A-10 its around $80.00 US I am thinking about getting it for Christmas. Not sure though, there are so many other kits that I would love to have.

                        I've only crossed the $100 threshold a few times. Most of those have been Tamiya's big-scale Formula 1 cars, which I have a real soft spot for. I've also broken down and ordered a few of Fisher Model & Pattern's cast-resin race-car kits, which are fantastic and well worth the price.

                        Most of my kit buying tends to be in the $20 - $30 range, and for the last couple of years I've been investing in tools and workbench equipment more than I've been buying kits. Anything to help me get through the unbuilt kits I already have!
