What kit are you putting off to build?

Definately my 1/72 Roden Gotha IV-the struts and rigging terrify me-maybe I'm make it look "shot down"

Man, there are quite a few, but honestly I think the kit I have had the longest and always wanted to build is the Polar Lights Sleepy Hollow Headless Horseman, I've never done a kit like this, maybe that is why I have always put it off.
Funny that a 650 piece armor kit doesn't intimidate me one bit but this Headless Horseman has been opened and closed probably 25 times over the years.

To be honest there's more than one, but the one that really pulls at my heart strings is the 1/24 Airfix Spitfire my wife bought for me. I want to spend a lot of time on it and I want to make it a museum piece(OK...as close as I can get to a museum piece)

Another I have put off for a while is my 1/32 P-51D Mustang, it's one of my favourites and I want to wait until I feel that I'm good enough at what I'm doing before I start it.

For me, its a Trumpeter 1/350 Franklin that I want to convert to a post SCB 27 moderized Oriskany. I have all my references and a building plan, but I'm still a little shy in the finance dept. When adding the costs of PE, resin aftermarket parts, and scratchbuiding materials, plus the kit, I just chicken out and cannot yet bring myself to paying out that much money.

Of coarse, why stop there, I then want to make a Vietnam version with a complete airwing that includes Sen. McCain's A4.

Tamiya 1/16 Tiger I with the full-on nutso Aber PE and detail set. It's just such a huge project, I've been putting it off for years now.

Trupeters 1/35 Hind E for me, Ive never done a chopper and Im scared I wont due it justice (.

I think it's the 1/24 Accurate Miniatures McLaren M8B.......a pretty good model of a great car that needs a serious amount of "finesse" to turn into a serious museum quality replica.
Then there's the Special Hobby X-15A-2......a lovely subject, the only game in town in 1/48 and kinda awful -
And my Sword Northrop N-9MA flying wing - I didn't know that plastic could bend and warp so much while still in the box..........but I love the little plane.
I hate modelling - I can't do OOB - it's a disease. I need treatment.

Looks like everyone's putting off biulding realistic subjects, I'm putting off one of my Sci-Fi subjects. It's a 1/72 Hasegawa VF-1A Super Valkyrie that I bought for around $36 at the LHS (these kits are too expensive, time to move to Japan!!!) I refuse to touch it until I have a couple of my other kits built and I feel I've got the experience nailed down first!

I'm putting off the Heller 1/100 Victory. I would like more reference material before I really get into it, and I have lots of smaller kits I want to get off the shelf before it.

I'm putting off the Armo OT-64 and their PT-76. A lot of small parts and the instructions are the one piece "exploded view" type. I look at the illustrations and I'm not sure where to start on those kits. Maybe this year I will become brave enough to start building.

For me it would have to be the Accurate Miniatures TBF-1C Avenger Atlantic. It's looks such a beautiful kit and I want to improve my skills so that I do a reasonable job.

mine would be in plural form, what "kits" am i putting off. i don't even have the kits in my pocession yet, but i'm wanting to do 3 kits in 1/32. the first on my list is a Greek F/4 Phantom. i got a great little set of reference pics, and what i like about the Greek airforce, they don't seem to do much "up-keep" on their paint jobs..........kinda used lookin'........no..........ALOT used lookin'.......i LOVE that!! i'm gonna try and mimic the ref. pics. the second is the old splotchy, hap hazard paint jobs the USN applied to the F-14 Tomcats. got myself a hefty helpin' of ref. pics for this project as well, but pics are free, and the 1/32 birds ain't!! the third, just a plain ol' 1/32 P-51D of "Old Crow" with all the fancy fixin's i can find!! later.

1/400 Academy Titanic. Because I need to find the inspiration to start it. I'll be adding alot of PE to it, so it'll be a big job.

1/48 Grand Slam Lancaster....while I didn't spend the regular retail price, I still spent a lot!! Want to make sure my skills are refined before I begin it...

For me it's the 1/350 Tamiya Fletcher Class Destroyer. Have not figured out the colours yet, and ship rigging is a weak point.

Classic Airframes Walrus. I want to build it, but whenever I look in the box I just shudder & put it back on the shelf.

Haven't got the kits but I can dream right? LOL.
