You apologise yet this line still seems to frustrate you....very unusual.

If you don't agree with my view (or anyone elses), that's fine. However rubbishing people's comments is really not the way to go about disagreeing.

My last gripe....people who search the forum looking for comments to disagree with.

I tell you guys, it's not the tin hat or codpiece, but the horned helmets that work.

Personally I wear the tin foil hat AND the codpiece while making the rounds at the local shopping mall to meet women..... Approve [^]

??? was it a joke then, sorry if I missed the punch line

Re; taking the mick out of you----

No I'm not,, however if you feel that way I am sorry as it was not my intension....the intent was to comment on the threads content, which I did. Sarcastically OK, but that showed my level of frustration at such comments, and that is all.
It did not insult you at all and most certainly it was not personal so please do not take it that way.

It was a comment on some of the opinion posted, including yours, it was not a comment on you

Ali why are you going out of your way to try and make a fool out of me?
I did not seriously suggest any conspiracy you idiot.

Go into another thread for God's sake...we are all sick of you.

I went with the 1/16th, so I wouldn't scare them away. 1:1 is too expensive. Remember the SNL skit with the guy putting rolls of paper in his Paints?

I go with the codpiece while discussing the merits of the Tamiya F-16. Wins them over every time.

My gripe is me, and my lack of comitment to finishing a kit. I get to a point, sanding or painting and just sit and look at it. Then I hit the stash and start another one. I have no idea how many I have started.

I think some folks complained about cost, but saving money in all cases, including hobbies is just good sense. And there are ways to do it. I don't think they were fed up with the hobby but just bemoaning how it can be expensive sometimes-the same thing we do when we lament about health care costs.

Yeah I see the barn door. It might have been sarcasm in the first post, but the second post was not sarcasm, that's called instigating!! Stop trying to back pedal, go look at what you wrote.

Man, It's numb nuts like you that come in here off-topic and stir a pot thats already burning, and******people like me off. It's people like this that is my gripe. Come in here to cause trouble. Man SHUT-UP if you don't want to contribute, or in this case gripe about the hobby. I am very glad you're glad in this hobby, I am too. That would have been a more acceptable answer. And, I thought it was pretty light-hearted too

Ali

I started this thread because I had something to say and I thought it might be a topic that others would like to contribute to. Judging by the contributions, people have gripes of their own but they are all lighthearted and realistic.

Anyway maybe we can gauge on where our hobby might improve. Price comes up a lot....so it's an issue to those modellers...simple.

Anyway I have another gripe...the lids on Aztec paint cups are hard to get off!!

Bgrigg-heres a tip when your a t the slots-they rig the slots to hardly ever win on max bet-you hve a better chance on not placing max bet.I heard this from tv,the guy who makes the machines for casinos said you will hardly ever win good money on max bet.

I am in total agreement about the lack of time to do it. 80 hours a week at work (not including off-duty appointments) and not a single dollar's worth of overtime will take it out of you. Poor with no time off, at least I can't spend what I don't have! Big Smile [:D]

I've spent a few hundred dollars getting back into the hobby, but it's nothing compared to what I could be spending on my vehicles. Wink [;)]

As for prices of models I agree with most of you. Dollar for dollar this hobby still provides a big bang for the buck. Not that I like the fact that some kits are soaring over the $100 (Canadian) mark. I don't have a big budget for my hobbies but there are a lot of other choices out there and I can choose how much I spend.

My biggest pet peeve about my hobby is not being able to find enough time to spend with it.
