Cool pics, everyone!

Here's where it all happens for me.....

The bench.....

The paint station...

...and some of the stash....

...and yes, it ALWAYS looks that 'busy'! Wink [;)]

ruddratt;

How's your dry vent situated?  It looks like you've got the one end under your window? Is the screen have a hole cut out of it?  I want to vent mine with a dryer vent but not sure how to do so?

Thanks

Neil

Greetings, Neil! Smile [:)] That window is one of those older 'casement' type windows. What I did was take a piece of plywood about 8" high and cut the width so it would fit snugly inside the window frame. I picked up a 4" diameter flange at Home Depot for mounting the dryer hose, cut an opening into the plywood and mounted the flange to the inside and a piece of metal screen to the outside (to keep all those pesky little undesirables out Wink [;)] ). I closed the window letting it rest on the top edge of the plywood and then sealed all 4 edges. Works great. It's on the second floor of the house, so I can just leave it in there and I'm ready to go at a moment's notice. Smile [:)]

ruddratt;

Much appreciate the info. I'll look into those items and work something out. In the window now is one of those tandem fans that can either blow or suck the air out. I have it pulling the air out. My spray booths' exhaust ports are pointed in the direction of the fan so it helps but I want one that is better sealed to keep the overspray particles from settling on my models.

Thank you

Neil

I'll have to take a pic of mine, buts it not much to see. You guys have some nice setups.

Its an Ikea computer desk that used to be the home to my wifes Mac. Her Mac was too old so we put that away and it freed up the desk. Unfortunately it doesn't have any drawers, so my paints, brushes etc are all on top of the desk. I have a hobby mat on it.

I don't have a paint booth though :( I had to resort to painting in the garage on top of some cardboard.

Satanshollow, It is fine if you build your model on the kitchen table, a table is a table.  As for me, I was LUCKY, my Mother had the desk and I got it was she passed,  I just put in my bedroom and I am starting my 1st model in about 14 years. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo anywhere you can build is a GOOD place :)

You have to get some pics to post

Yes, I followed the steps. This is the only forum that I have this problem. Is there an option in my account preference that I should change?

I've had this same problem and it was corrected when I switched over to Firefox web browser. It's free & by switching over I lose the HTML tags & can even use the smiliesBig Smile [:D]

These are repeats from another thread, but what the hey!

The build table:

No, it's not really that clean all the time. Thats an old pic! The stash is probably three times what you see.

The paint shelf:

Which now has double the paint.

The spray booth:

Now with plexiglass doors, an air regulator and moisture trap mounted on the right side and a furnace filter mounted at an angle on the back wall. It's also not that clean.

I'm in the midst of renovating my home and I'm trying to get the spraybooth moved into the room with the build table. The Honey-Do lists trumps the I-Wanna-Do list. Mischief [:-,]

So long folks!

1.5.0.3 is the version of Firefox I'm using. I think its the very latest. I can't paste anything into this reply box, I have to type everything in manually or use Exploder.

I was thinking of what I could do for a paint booth. I don't have too many options. I can't really paint inside the house, wife won't like that. SO I paint in the garage, normal spray paint is ok, doesn't bother me too much. But using gloss or cleat coat spray is horrendous, its super strong. I live in a townhouse complex so I can't cut holes into the wall to make an exhaust, or spray in the backyard because of neighbors and their kids/dogs which is understandable. I wouldn't want the smell either wafting around.

I'm using Firefox 1.0.7 and I have no problems. I am using a Mac with Mac OSX.  I don't know anything about the 1.5.0.3 nut, somebody else might.
