Good on you, I recently got my first AB and know how hard it is to decide waht you need and waht you get. This way someone can have it easier.

Eight badgers? Wow..... are they as aggresive as I hear tell? Is it true that they get mad if you poke them with spoons?

They might be.  Can you hook 'em up for a test?  Mine looks pretty ratty on the outside, but still sprays like a champ.  Remember, it's what's on the inside that matter.  Big Smile [:D]

With the rust I suppose you could try cleaning them up using sandpaper, sand using a hard grit first then work down to a fine grit, might not be as shinny as the of the AB, but it will stop the rusting and the life of the brush will be increased aswell.

Btw, great thing you doing!

If they are Badgers I might be tempted to send them to Badger and see if they can salvage them for you. The rust may only be on the outside.

OK all, I have 2 A/Bs for 2 of you that do not have any at all. The 2 I have are the Badger 350-1-M Single Action and the Badger Professioal 150 Double Action.  Both are bottle feed and I have tested both and they seen to work good.

NOW as Wing-Nut has said,  " If you are under 18,  I will assume you have permission to give me you home address for shipping ".

Please if you have an A/B don't ask for these.

Have a GREAT day all

The Badger 350 come with a small booklet. You will need eather a Compressor or a Air Bottle Can and a Hose, and all of them you can get at your LHS.

If you want to try it NP at all.

Please let me know what you want to do.

I've only had mine a short while, and at first it really intimidated me. Then I actually used it- and it wasn't near the hurdle I thought it would be.

At first, I used canned air, and was about to throw it all away. Then I got a compressor, thanks to H2O_MARK (and a Paasche VL!), and I was pretty quickly airbrushing in a decent fashion.

Give it a shot. With a little patience and practice, you'll start wondering how you survived without an airbrush. I used to read that here on the forums, and I thought "Riiiiight....". But danged if it ain't true. Now I wish I could just A/B everything. The difference in the finish is incredible!

I still have trouble with double action brushes, which is why I still use my Badger 200NH more than my Iwata HP-CS. But I'm slowly getting the hang of it. The 350, being a single action, may be easier to pick up and use for the first time, compared to a dual. The 350 is also an external mix, which makes it easy to clean up, but doesn’t have as fine of a spray as the internal mix 150 - which equates to a better quality finish. That's why I use my 350 for jobs where a less refined spray is ok.

Really depends on what you guys want to do. Some say its best to start with a dual action, so you never have that transition that I'm going through now.

Now remember I'm no expert, and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night either Wink [;)]

Bud, no, I wasn't knocking the 350. I was merely saying  that my HF cheapy looks identical to it. It was my first A/B & it is still in use for general coverage, primer & Future. easy to clean & use.  My 175 dual action takes some getting use to yet, either one will be a good 1st A/B for  anyone.

Send the 150. I'm biased as I own one myself. A lot of people will talk about the difficulty of dual action ABs but really they can be used just like a single action. I think of them this way. A single action is nothing more than a tap with two settings: full on and full off. A dual action allows you to turn the tap off and on too, but also allows you to adjust the flow between full on and full off. It just takes practice before you can really control that tap completely.

The 350 is a fine airbrush for one color paint jobs that don't require any finesse. I have a cheapo clone of the 350 that I use for Future.

So long folks!

many people are biased on which brush to use.Yet, many people can put out excellent work with either a S/A or D/A. Any A/B one uses varies on their skill level, thinning ratios & practice, practice practice.Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg] and, an air supply. Oh, did I mention PracticeBig Smile [:D]

All I can say is "wow". The people I have met on this forum are the best. God bless you all. What is it about this forum? Is there a hidden "good guy" magnet in it somewhere?
Thank you all for your generosity. Wing_nut and Dubau, ya'll are great. And so are the rest of you. And I think I get the point ya'll mentioned before about practice. I guess I'll be practicing alot. Thanks again, to everybody.

I've been planning to get an A/B for quite a while now, but thats gonna be quite a while still because I just got back from Poland and all our spending there has now translated  into major debt. So now we're basically gonna be living off bread and water (not really, just a comparison), and even worse, I won't be going to my LHS anymore until further notice!!!!!! Though my mom's gonna talk it over with my dad, I'ld like to know if anyone could hold an A/B for me. If you could, I'ld greatly appreciat it. If you can't, I'll live with it, don't worry.

I don't have one for you, sorry, but if you are going to get one, get the best you can the first time. I have a Badger 155 Anthem, awsome brush! Double action, I'd recommend this brush, but if you want it cheap go to ebay, picked it up for $50 brand new!

Nothin' wrong with waiting as long as you aren't in a big rush. That's why I said in my earrlier post that Patience is a must.. I don't know if you have Harbor Freight up there or not but, here in the US we do & every now & then they have a sale on their Hobby airbrushes for $5.00 They are single action & look like the badger 360. That's what I started off with & I still use it for  coats of Future.
Now there's a saying buy cheap... buy twice.

Get yerself a compressor and make sure it has a moisture trap & adjustable air flow regulator. Harbor Freight sells a 1/2 decent one & usually they're on sale for $40.00. It's a cheapy but, I've had mine for a couple of years & have had no problems with it.

Haave fun & enjoy your new A/B.... now stay away from the cat will yaClown [:o)]

Well since every body else is getting something. I figure its my turn to be a kind soul. I have to kit armor as most of you know i dont build much of it i mostly do aircraft. Both are DML new tooling kits one i think the half track was started only painted a couple things licke the road wheels and chassis all parts are mostly still in the bags, the tank is brand new still in bags. First e-mail in bound and receved will be the happy owner. I might not get them out rightaway since i live a ways from town so i will get in touch with you ASAP. smokin_guns3@hotmail.com

The two cans of skoal are the individual track links that came with the kit.

oops I read somewheres in your thread that you got an airbrush so i assumed...sorry Blush [:I]

I have no idea what she was thinkin. I actually went in my trash collection bin outside my house to look for it. Not there. Maybe she put it with the foods i dunno. Found like 15 sprues of extra parts though...and the instructions to my badger... Sad [:(] ah well... it could have gotten worse.
