This site is non picture friendly?
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, August 31, 2003 11:07 AM
Ok.. so I have lots of pictures of aircraft from various flight museums and airshows I would love to share with the FSM community. My question is.. how do I "host" my own pics? I am pretty sure I have some stuff many of you would like to see. HEEEELLPPP!!Tongue [:P]

Unknowmpharoah - you'll find the answer here http://finescale.com/fsm/community/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2331 If you click on the photo icon (4th from right above "color" choice, click between the 2 sets of brackets & type in the url, from whichever place they are hosted. Hope this helps !

First you need a web server (I don't think you want the entire world accessing your PC hard drive) and a domain name, then find some gallery software and set it up....

OR go here: http://www.finescale.com/fsm/community/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2331
post your images per the instructions and link to them.

Thelink will have to be altered to display properly:
Here is the link copied from the address bar:
http://rongeorge.com/modules/Gallery/album58/AMtech_HS_123_11
To make it display as an image in a post you need to put it in "Image tags"
(I have added spaces for the purpose of this conversation). It will look like this:

Then you need to edit the actual URL; Replace modules/Gallery with albums and add .jpg to the end. It should look like this:

Once the spaces are removed from the Image Tags you get this:

This sounds complicated but it really isn't.
