I can sure agree with all those who say this is thier modeling club. For me as far as I know there is not one close by and no one I know gets into it like I do. It is good to see so much talk about Georgia though.

Dallas is cool with me. Hey, madda, want to carpool? I can pick you up on the way down from Joplin.

OK, I'll agree to Dallas too. Good thing I'm a Truck Driver. That's one town I can get around in. All though it's easier with 4 wheels compared to 18.

When are we talking about? Dec 04 or Nov 04. Is that right?

Actually I think Osaka would work for me.

Exactly what part of Indiana is that in, anyway?

Indiana? I thought that was in South Dakota!?! (I'm so confused, now).

Seriously folks I've thought about it and I could do it (I would have to bring the wife though). Allthough there wouldn't be many of us that could make it. I would suggest that several of us pool our $ together and buy Brian (and favorite lady) a ticket to Dallas or other city decided upon. We might get more people there and I would gladly pitch in (even more than my "fair share" if required).

Nothing against Osaka, Brian. The wife and I would LOVE to go there. But I want as many people there as possible.

Can we get some input from the staff at FSM? Would they be willing to sponsor the event in Dallas? We also need someone that lives in Dallas or close to Dallas that can work to get things going. With a year or so to plan, we should have a good turn out.

Just curious, Tim. Will the wife be bringing her hula hoop??Big Smile [:D]
And how much yen do ya suppose we'd need to come up with to extract Brian and significant other from Tamiya World?
I could fly over in my blimp and pick them up I guess.
Oh and by the way, we both need a geography lesson.--Osaka's in Wisconsin! Smile [:)]

YES HULA HOOP is a requirement for attendence (she says w/Monkees CD too). She said she would be willing to give you lessons if you need it.Evil [}:)]Wink [;)]Big Smile [:D]

As for yen, we'll find out shortly.

Also, Osaka's in Wisconsin? Brian's got some 'splaning to do. Come on Bro, Fess up.

Merlin, I did some checking and it looks like 16 to 1700 per person for them, this a prelem figure as the final figure won't be able to be figured for a couple of months. I can deal with it, personally. But we need more than just a couple of us interested in this and so far that's not happening(?).

Fear not, Tim....It's early yet.Smile [:)]

Yessir, as you well know, the only time a truck driver lies is when his lips are moving (and when his fingers are typing).Wink [;)]

What a coincidence. I was just telling someone the other day how I'd love to be able to find a little beachfront property on the Gulf of New Mexico to retire to. We'll talk! Big Smile [:D]

Looking forward to the hula lesson. I'll bring my wife along as well. She can play "Danny Boy" on the bicycle pump while juggling 3 small chainsaws. Quite entertaining.

Is this thing going to be a get together for modelers or a talent show? I vote for both! If you bring your earmuffs and plugs, I'll have the wife bring her trumpet. I can just imagine the chaos.
What's the word, FSM gurus? Do we have a shot at this?

If there's no-body in Dallas, then we need to find another place soon so that we can start organising this!

I second that motion. We may have a year to do it in, but if we wait too long it may not get done. I can contact the Pensacola NAS Museum and see if it would be possible to hold it there. If so then I will work it from this end. Any objections?

Dallas or Pensacola would work for me! I've been to the Naval Aviation Museum there & it would take DAYS to properly tour it! With the way Uncle Sam pays me, I'd have to save up till Nov 04 to get the tickets! - Calvin Clown [:o)]

The ball is rolling. I contacted the museum and a package is being mailed to me with all the information. It looks like it will take a lot of paperwork to get it done.

We will still need a sponsor for the event. Are you listening FSM?

My wife and I haven't been to Pensacola in quite some time, so that's cool. I'm sure she'll be thrilled, as she was stationed at Corry Station for a year or so. It is really nice down there, and their Hooters down on the bay has some decent food.
