Hmmm...the only "project" I ever chucked in the trash was Academy's wee C-5A Galaxy.

After cutting some pieces from the sprues and doing a minute or two of dry-fitting, I came to the conclusion that it just wasn't going to be worth the effort, so I picked out what I thought would be useful for the spare parts box and literally chucked the rest into the trash can.
I could just see hours of heartache packed into that tiny kit; hours that I just wasn't willing to commit to such a tiny Galaxy.

Now, Otaki's big 1/144 kit might warrant such an investment of blood, sweat, and tears!

I have two, one being a Sd Kfz 251/1 which never got finished because I hated the way it was turning out and was too far into it. The other is a AM P-51C which I tried doing a metal scheme, for my first and pretty much ruined it with the wing joints. Then I runined the canopy and finally said, ok, this one is for the junk box lol

We have all seen pictures of our counterparts greatest works, and we are all justifiably proud of the fruits of our labours, but we all have those "other" projects we don't put up in the display cases. I'm curious as to what was your worst modelling disaster?? Mine was a Monogram 1/48 F100. I suffered a severe case of stupid as I was making it and it DID NOT turn out as expected. It promptly found it's way into the recycling box. Anyone else?
