Dionisios writes: “The model represents the Hellenic navy ship Blessas, a French-built Fast Attack Craft Missile Class La Combattante III.
The model is a conversion of Revell’s 1/144 scale ‘Schnellboot Albatros-klasse 143.’” From there, Dionisios went overboard (scratchbuilding except where otherwise noted): breakwater, anchor and its winch; reshaped the bow with sheet styrene; rounded Oto Melara aerodynamic cover with epoxy putty; superstructure at the bow and bridge; main mast built from styrene rod, tube, and sheet; anti-aircraft guns; crane; stern superstructure and mast; bases for the torpedo tubes; and four funnels.
