Alan writes: “I created this 1/35 scale Dragon M2A1 105mm howitzer diorama as a gift to my daughter’s grandfather, Frank, to commemorate his Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., for the Korean War 60th anniversary ceremonies. He was a howitzer squad leader in the Kumhwa Valley in 1952.” Alan painted with Tamiya and Vallejo acrylics and weathered with products from Mig and AK Interactive. The diorama base is an Ikea picture frame with Aves Apoxie Sculpt and Woodland Scenics static grass. “This was my first finished diorama as an adult after many starts back in my childhood,” he says.
