Chris Townsend, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada

Chris says he is doing his best to model all the world’s main battle tanks, which is why he built Dragon’s 1/35 scale M1A2 SEP, “a marvelous kit,” he says. He added accessories via Tamiya's 1/35 equipment set and made antilaser coatings on the viewports using strips of film negative placed over strips of red confetti. “This kit was my first experience at using an airbrush to paint highlights and shadows on the panels of the tank to create depth in an otherwise plain tan base coat.” He finished with washes of Winsor & Newton oils.
