Vietnam modeling subjects are a favorite with Jake, who built Academy's 1/35 scale M50A1 Ontos and painted it with Tamiya acrylics. “But the weathering was a nightmare of mistings of dust and earth after some heavier artist’s oil washes,” he says. “I think it looks like a very dusty Ontos after a rain storm.” The figures came with the kit; Jake built the base with True Scene Modeling’s FusionFiber.
