Jim Davidson

Winnemucca, Nevada

“Being 65, a greater challenge was needed after years of building plastic kits,” says Jim. Apparently he found plenty of what he needed. He bought Trumpeter’s 1/35 scale Mi-24 Hind, a photo reference from Wings & Wheels, and then copied parts and scaled up blueprints to 1/17 scale to build his Russian chopper from balsa wood. He patterned the ribbed construction after Guillow’s airplane kits.
